Seagate Momentus 500 GB Laptop Internal Hard Drive (ST500LT012)  (Interface: SATA, Form Factor: 2.5 Inch)

I had a Sony VAIO and the existing WD HDD crashed. I ordered this Hard drive which was thinner than my existing WD but it fitted perfectly in my laptop HDD Bay.
The drive is fast and running perfectly fine.

All that bothered me was the packing of the Drive. How come Seagate Packs a delecate laptop HDD just in a plastic cover. That too with no hologram or nothing authentic.
Its easy for anyone to doubt, is the drive brand new or refurbished.

However Flipkart packing had bubble cover and air fillers for protection.

Installed the drive and loaded OS. work like a charm as of now.

I ordered a 500 GB hard-disk. As they promised I received to my address in time. It was well packed but there was no warranty card. So I checked in Seagate,online about the warranty and genuine. This is purely a genuine and original product with two years of warranty.

I am very my happy and pleased to receive the product as I saw online. I will again buy from you if i require anything in the future, Really a great experience for me. :)

This is amazing with my Dell XPS. It doesnt make noise at all. The one which came with laptop used to make a little noise, though its hard drive is fast and do a great job.. Its been 6 months now I have been using this and it works great.

Well, honestly speaking, WD is always my first choice but 2 of my HDDs in my desktop are seagate and they are working just fine... So I wanted to give Seagate a chance...

I believe this is a hybrid drive because the speed is better than conventional HDD.

All in all this is worth every penny...

Pros:
1) The 16 MB cache can prove to be really useful and can speed up operations if you're a heavy user.
2) 2 years Warranty !! I guess that's something new.
3) Cheap compared to other manufacturers.

Cons:
None till now. Working super smooth.

after receiving the IHD installed its over a week and everything is fine!!! talking about warranty stuffs u can easily log on to seagate offical site and register ur product and then you are the owner of the IND warranty for 2 years!! I heard people saying about warranty isn't provided and all other stuff you need to know untill and unless u step ahead u don know wat exactly the product is!! and a brand like seagate u can easily sit behind and relax!!!
At last FLIPKART gives a great fast ser...
