The Second Jim Corbett omnibus collects three books by Jim Corbett about his life as a hunter and conservationist in the jungles of India and Africa.
Summary of the Books
Corbett writes about the country which won his heart and gave him his reputation as a big game hunter: the land of India. He writes about his feelings, his concern for the people and his thoughts on the natural wealth and variety of the culture. This book showcases Corbett’s affection for India and its people.
In this book, Corbett comes the closest he ever has to give readers an autobiography. He writes about his fascination for the jungle, his ideas on the fragile nature of wildlife and the need for conservation. He writes of his affection for Indian natives, the jungles, the Kumaon hills of the Himalayan foothills and his thoughts on the melancholy way in which mankind has forsaken its environment.
In his last memoir, Corbett returns readers for one ultimate hunt in the jungles he loves. He writes about his time in the Kenyan game reserves, and he describes the beauty of the wildlife with great verbosity. He gives readers a heartfelt account of his experiences and his observations at the reserve.

A Modern Sage in the Jungles of KumaonJim Corbett is a name I used to love, while in school, for his Man Eaters of Kumaon, over fifty five years ago.Since then, we have learned that he wrote six books and read them all in various editions. In the process, the love has blossomed into admiration , and respect.
