Selvbiografi

Selvbiografi, Norwegian for autobiography, is a collection of poetry from Louise Frances Daniels. It took several years to complete, and yet it only contains 84 poems. The book is unique because it is broken down into elements instead of sections. The poems within focus on drawing something from you, rather than just telling you a story. However, instead of depleting you, they allow you to create an element within yourself. Air, the first element in the book, is a fantasyland of imagination that inspires you to breathe. Water is tragically beautiful and claws for your tears. Earth is short, but personal. Fire dances on the page, but won't burn you, and Universe opens your mind with questions and opinions. Selvbiografi can either be read front to back, element-by-element, or poem-by-poem. Each element and poem is independent of each other, but flow together with a unifying energy.
