Fascinating.

I could hardly put the book down -- we go on a journey to northern Karnataka where ancient fertility rites still prevail -- and yet the women are just like us and share many of the same preoccupations. I can hardly believe this still goes on…. beautifully written, visual language -- it's as if we see it happening.
