A true, dramatic, mysterious love story of Bernie and Suena, in the 50's in Dutch Guyana. A peaceful, beautiful country where people of all races live peacefully together and interracial relationships are normal. Because of the mix of the different races, the people are very handsome. Suena and Bernie have a baby, but later on Bernie cheated with Mollie. She got pregnant, her father wanted to kill Bernie, and he fled to Europe. Brokenhearted Suena moves on with life and has three more daughters later. Her lovers and husbands all die mysteriously. Forty years later, Suena and Bernie meet again in Europe at a ballet performance of their son, who became a famous ballet dancer. Bernie is full of regrets about the past and they fall in love all over again, until mysterious questions are being answered.
