  • Description

Rand al’Thor must follow the mysterious Aiel into the Waste and discover his legacy in The Shadow Rising, the fourth book in Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time series of fantasy novels.

    Summary of the Book

Rand al’Thor has managed to declare himself the Dragon Reborn. He has broken through the defences of the legendary fortress, the Stone of Tear, and he has reclaimed Callandor, the Sword That Is Not A Sword, the Sword of the Dragon. In doing so, he has shunned aside all doubts that he is the true Dragon Reborn. However, he has also invited the attention of the entire world. Now, guided by the battle-hardened warrior tribes of the Aiel, he plunges into the dry and arid Waste, where he must discover who he truly is and what his mission is. As each day passes, the seals on the Dark One’s prison weaken and he touches the world with a tighter grip. In the Last Battle, Rand al’Thor must face against him, and die. However, before dying, he will need to unite the entire world, and break the nations if he is to fulfill prophecy. Only a remnant of a remnant will he save, and twice the Dragon will he be marked, once for remembrance lost, and twice for the price he must pay.
