How do you move out of the presence of a shadow? A shadow is a darkened image that mimics your movement, but it doesn't move alone. It shares your shape, but has no shape of its own. It even shares your walk, but walk on its own, it does not; and no matter how long the shadow remains, it will never feel the warmth of sun. In the Shadow of the Son is a story of a little girl who grew up believing that she would always live in the shadows and never feel the warmth of the sun. She is verbally and physically abused by her mother, all because of a severed relationship between the mother and the father-while her brother is showered by affection, peace and patience.
