Shakti is a gripping tale. Kali and Vritra are my favourite characters. My favourite segments are Durga’s onslaught on Mahisha, Kali’s attack on Indra and the final reunion of Shakti with Shiva. I liked the little story about Ganesha’s origin. Anuja’s mastery in story telling comes to the fore in Shakti and keeps the reader hooked till the end. The language quality is impeccable.
