Book Reviews of Shalimar The Clown
*Shalimar The Clown
Review by Dr. Maajed J. Wani
After reading Shalimar The Clown I am convinced that the feelings I had been harbouring about the author after reading his last few works are in fact true...he is delusional. I'm writing this because this inescapable fact is strewn all across Shalimar...sometimes, in the pursuit of a trivial thought the author loses track of the narrative. Then there are other indications as well, like the abrupt and seemingly endless use of acronyms and two different spellings for a single name...repeatedly. However, in an inexplicable way his delusions sprout creativity that flows into his writings without effort and it is this creativity that is par excellence.
Shalimar The Clown is the height of creative writing bordering on madness...a madness that never fails to amuse you. A must read.
