The 39 Clues Cahills Vs. Vespers: Shatterproof (Book - 4), written by Roland Smith, is the fourth book in the Cahills versus Vespers series, and the follow up to Clues, featuring the adventures of two siblings who are ordered to embezzle one of the largest diamonds in the world.
Summary Of The Book
The 39 Clues is an adventure series for young adults that chronicle the feats of Dan and Amy, who discover that they belong to the influential Cahill family. The central story arc is that Amy and Dan have to locate 39 clues, which will reveal the ingredients to devise a serum that can potentially create the most powerful human on earth.
In The 39 Clues Cahills Vs. Vespers: Shatterproof (Book - 4), Dan and Amy have become Interpol’s most wanted criminals. The only way to escape lifelong imprisonment is by complying to Vesper One’s orders, which are to steal the Golden Jubilee Diamond displayed at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. The decision is not so simple for the pair. If they do not comply, they risk losing a Cahill hostage. Facing no other option, they decide to launch the mission. Upon arrival, they discover that the diamond is too guarded. After escaping security, Vesper One informs them to locate a Roman article that contains an apology. As Dan and Amy unravel more secrets, they discover that a Vesper mole is sabotaging some of the Madrigals on the inside. Even when the hostages try to escape, the Vespers stop them. Before Vesper One kills another Cahill, Dan and Amy race against time to steal the diamond.
Following the release of the first novel in The 39 Clues series, more than 8.5 million copies have been sold in over 24 translations. Steven Spielberg has acquired film rights to the series and plans on releasing the first film in 2014.

DISSAPOINTINGThe 39 clues series has deteriorated a lot. Originally everyone had high expectations from this series, especially after that first (and awesome) book.
