This is an absolute beauty of a pen. Its heavy and sturdy a bit too. But not to worry when the cap is removed it is very less in the heaviness. What more else this is a procesless possession to have, as these days Fountain Pens are of an extinct. It does come with 2 ink cartridges with a 1 year warrent and a manual in it. Every fountain lover probably has a story behind his each single collectible. As for mine this is the first thing I bought with my first month salary. This was a dream of mine and now I am a proud owner of a Shaeffer.

This pen shows its elegance when you take it out of the Shaeffer box or from your pocket. And of curse you don't even need to bother about the immense writing pleasure.

I got this pen as a gift from my amazing friends on my birthday, it is a great pen. A little bit on heavier side but is just perfect. This is my first pen in this price range. So, obviously i am loving it. Easy to refill, never spills ink. Provided with 2 pre-filled ink cartridges along with the screw type filler.
The writing is exquisite, flow of ink is superb. Utterly fluid. A great pen indeed.

Excellent weight and it writes so smooth in any kind of paper that i gives a different kind of satisfaction. I got it as a replacement against a waterman pen and i felt i made the perfect choice. The nib is excellent as you can check by writing the number 8 many times.

Let me start by describing this pen in a couple of words - Professional & Classy! The black lacquered body with tones of gold looks amazing, especially if you are looking forward to flaunting this precious possession at work! I am extremely fond of chromed fine nibs but I would never have the privilege of using one on a Sheaffer pen as they seem limited in stock (or maybe unavailable!). To my surprise, the one I ordered came with an "F" engraved on the nib and that was indeed the "Wow" moment...

Ten points on the Sheaffer 300:

1. Yes, it's a heavy pen. But take the cap off, and it's surprisingly well balanced.
2. It's made in Slovakia.
3. It claims to have a Medium nib, but it puts down a rather fine line. And it takes a bit of pushing to get the flow going. So remember to wash the nib once before inking it for the first time. I suspect that the tines are pretty tight. And I don't think they will get loose without help. (But don't try doing that.)

Very smooth and best flow.Goes with excellent momentum while writing in paper. Its black color looks great. Works best with good ink .I use parker quink.

I wanted a fine nib as all of my other fountains including
Waterman Hemisphere Dlx White CT Fountain Pen , Reynolds and Parkers
have broad nibs. Best choice for writing in volumes.

This is a great pen and writing is buttery smooth..........and hats up to flipkart for such fast service........
