Sheaffer Gift Collection Fountain Pen

First of all,I should mention that I have not purchased this product from flipkart.This is because i do not purchase expensive pens without physically 'feeling' them.But i do trust flipkart and I have never experienced any compromise with quality during my long term relationship them.So in future i may try a quality writing instrument from flipkart.However,now I would like to give a little review on this pen and I hope that will be useful.
so here we start,

1.BUILD QUALITY:a solid 5/5.

As far as the build quality is concerned,this pen is flawless. Starting from the cap to the clip to the body and lastly to the nib and the feed,everything is just flawless.I could not found a single mistake.The cap fits very smoothly and securely and you can feel it.The grip section is solid metal and the barrel too is very solid metal.So there is no compromise in this section.It should last life long.

2.NIB AND PERFORMANCE:4.5/5

The nib is a jewel.I would dare to say that if you use a parker (i assume it is not a very expensive model like a duo-fold or a premium or sonnet etc.)and think it is smooth,just give this sheaffer a try.I bet you will be blown away.The nib is what we call buttery smooth and the writing experience is completely different than that of usual fountain pens.I just love the way it writes.The only complain i have here is about the grip section.It is slippery.It is not that much evident when you just doodle with love but very prominent when you try to make some serious fast writing.This may be a problem for long term writing sessions(such as exams).So this is a down side i have to mention.

3.WEIGHT AND BALANCE AND PRICE:5/5

very well balanced pen that has some good weight to it.It is not as light as a lamy safari but still very comfortable to use.The price is very justified by the materials and performance they are providing and this is why I prefer sheaffer to many other brands who either do not offer you anything precious or offer some good materials at a very higher range.Sheaffer always takes your money in exchange of some precious or solid materials and superior quality craftsmanship.I love this brand.

CONCLUSION:I highly recommend this pen.This is not a pen for fast paced life but at least you should have some time when you are not a busy man and want some space beyond this hectic world.This piece of fine writing instrument suits very much for those times.

This is a very good looking pen, although on the heavier side, which is sort of likeable, as you feel that you are holding something. It writes very smoothly and has got a nice feel to it. The body looks translucent and it comes along with two ink cartridges and a converter so do not have to wait to test this baby.

Its an excellent pen, and makes a good gift. I had bought this pen to gift it to my dad. The pen is good. The weight is good. But the only problem is the grip. The pen gets slippery quite a lot. The ink cartridge provided along with the pen is not satisfactory. Otherwise it is a cool pen with nice looks and a good grace.

I have been an avid user of fountain pens and this has been the smoothest experience till date. Awesome to hold and look, masterpiece finish....and cherry on the cake...Flipkart delivered it in plain 22hrs.....Great Job guys..!!!!!
