Astrid Masson is the daughter of game ranger parents and lives in Africa. Lana Cooper lives in a run-down town in the north of England and resides with her obnoxious parents. The destinies of the two girls collide after a series of strange and tragic events. They meet at a college in the Highlands of Scotland and discover that they each bear an identical special mark. It is a mark given by the Ancients to those who will be warrior priests and priestesses. Special powers accompany the sign - powers to be used to fight against evil. They use these powers for good until malevolent forces seduce them into the service of the evil Dark Lord. More than their lives come into jeopardy when they fall into great danger of losing their immortal souls. The future of mankind hangs in the balence as the girls finally confront the man of evil
