Book: The Sikh Religion An Introduction Sikhism is one of the youngest world religions. It was founded in the 15th century by Guru Nanak Dev, the first of the ten living Sikh Gurus. After the line of the living Gurus, the Guruship was bestowed upon Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh Holy book.
'Guru Granth Sahib' is the most sacred and holy book of the religion. It contains the hymns and compositions of the first five Gurus s well as the ninth Guru and Hindu and Muslim saints, and has now been translated into almost all of the languages of the world.

Dr. Haribala (Rani) Kaur Vaid, M.A., Ph.D. lives in London, (U.K) , with her husband and three children. She is the Education Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Central Gurdwara (Khalsa Jatha), Shepherd Bush, London, where she has been involved in Sikh religious studies. She enjoys working with children and teching them.
