When Orton Rumstad joins the faculty of North Star Military Academy as a wet-behind-the-ears country bumpkin fresh out of college, he has no idea what is in store for him. He is walking into a school with more than its fair share of juvenile delinquents among the cadets and with a faculty even more in need of professional help than the students placed in their charge.

Oliver Andresen, as Lieutenant Rumstad, narrates the increasingly bizarre series of events which transform the naï ve young man into a more experienced but still perplexed man of the world. Andresen's wry wit and admittedly dirty mind make for an uproariously entertaining ride on the wild side.

Full of naughty surprises, this book will shock some readers, but those who are amused by the human condition will have a wonderful time as Rumstad somehow muddles his way through a world he never fully understands.
