Brutha and the tortoise god
Widely acclaimed as one of Terry Pratchett's best, Small Gods, creeps up to you slowly and says "Pssst". It is not immediately obvious why so many other good writers declare this to be his best. It starts with the usual Discworld kind of characters, the usual funny bits with small declaratives added on to the episodes. It is only about a fourth of the way in, when you realize you are having trouble putting it down, that you begin to realize why.

This book is the 13th book of discworld.
I picked up this book thinking that this book will be a good introduction for discworld and it is a standalone book not a series like death series of discworld.
But I think that it will be more beneficial if you start with death series etc. Of discworld because you can get more understanding of the world building done in the series.
I will recommend you to download discworld map because it is not available in the books.
