The Socialist Christian

Can Christianity and Socialism go together? This provocative essay argues that they can. Rejecting much of what is commonly presented as a Christian political agenda, it advocates placing the commandment Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22: 39) at the heart of government policies. The concept of charity should be restored to its original biblical sense as a fundamental duty of every Christian to care for others.
