Brilliant story! I demand a sequel!

I bought this one because I liked the description on Flipkart, and well, it seemed different - who isn't curious about the Indian Army life? Needless to say, I LOVED the book!

This is about Pia - a totally civilian girl who marries an Army Officer and how her plain old life changes quickly. From sarees to high-tea parties, from formal dinners to finding an equally quirky BFF, from being an outsider to becoming a part of the Indian Army family and completely loving it - the story tell us of ...

You Can't Put This One Down. Hilarious!

Ordered this book after reading about it in DNA Bombay and then in The Hindu, and Flipkart delivered it the very next day!

And today I finished it simply because it is a book you can't put down - it is moves very fast. Though anything substantial starts to happen in the later chapters, the funny army incidents, the hilarious lists and the crisp and fluid writing makes you enjoy every bit. The characters are real and not saint like which makes it difficult to relate to a book, and this is th...

A Book That You Wish, Never Ends!!

For a civil girl like me, Army life is as foreign as it can get. But thanks to Pia, a regular-girl-turned-army-wife; I now know how life in Army is, at least to some extent!

Pia is a fun-loving girl and Arjun, her husband is adorable (umm.. I love men in uniform). The story revolves mostly around this new bride in the Army. About her getting used to the Army life, do's and don'ts that every Army wife should follow, her BFFs, about how every little event is so grand in the Army, all the high...

Hilarious. Almost like your favorite sitcom

Meet Pia - a "normal" girl from Delhi. She loves her short dresses, her loud friends, and her casual F-word including language. Pia marries an Army officer Arjun, and her world suddenly changes. I laughed so much reading this book that I was kind of sad it ended. This book is an account of an urban girl married into the forces and through all the ups and downs, eventually falling in love with the army wife life.

To all those people who are stressed out (and most of us are. Sad but true), I r...

    Army wife! The best!!

As a fellow army wife I had picked up the book with a lot expectations and overall Aditi’s book does not disappoint. She has touched upon all the relevant and at times controversial topics that affect the life of an army wife. Glossed over them actually but this was a love story first and an army story second. The gossip and conflicts like this happen in every group of friends, ladies kitty clubs or even in office politics. She has meshed them very well into the story that might as well have ...

Soldier & Spice :An Army Wife's Life

Mrs Aditi Mathur kapoor did a marvelous job by truthfully bringing out the way life in the Army goes on.She was considerate in many ways to the senior ladies "Samp bhi Mare Lathi Bhi na tute". I wished she had brought out the secret behind how senior ladies always win tambola especially during farewell parties. My best compliments to her. Young girls falling in love with Army , better read it before tying the knot.

    Funny and very interesting book!

Fresh, romantic, funny and very interesting, relatable and easy reading book!!!
Pia, a normal fun loving, loud, jhatka dresses wali...is a girl soooo like us. Almost anyone, I am sure, could relate with Pia instantly. The way she manages her life from being a normal "civil" girl to being a sophisticated, mannered, and the go-get-girl or memsaab! The book has drama, romance, fun, nice parts, emotional ones and in short a typical masala-chic-book.
The very easy read and simple way of writing ...
