Good Protection but at a cost
Sollatek has a huge reputation in voltage control throughout the world.So, I have ordered this one from Flipkart.It was installed yesterday (Best way to install is to install it before the AC starter box, so you need not have to touch it while opening the AC plug) The pros and cons so far--

Compact, Well Built, Neat Looking, Works like a charm! All you would need!
Got this for a new AC I purchased after a lot of mental debate whether to get this one or the (similarly priced) V-Guard VG-400 AC Stabiliser. And am I pleased!
The best part about it is it is small and compact with a very neat finish and well built. The main reason I wanted to get one. I did not like the concept of having a huge ugly stabiliser up there on the wall with the indoor unit of the Split AC (with wires dangling from it). Could have been 5 star only if they provided external connectivity
Easy installation, excellent performance. Only problem is whenever the windows AC requires service, this needs opening and disconnecting. Only if this point was thought while designing, it could be a 5 star product,

Compact Version
Just fitted it a few days ago.
Appears to be the compact version of Home Guard.(It is chip based rather than transformer based).
Costly for a chip based solution.
Is in working condition.

Great Stuff
It is a very good high and low voltage cut off switch. It is not a stabilizer as they claim it in the true sense but very effective. It is small in size and is working for the last one year with us. Only problem is we have had to get replacement for two out of four stabilizers as the Sollatek product final product check does not seem to be working well.

Not suited for India.
This voltage stabilizer is a nice product where voltage fluctuations are minimum and the need to install a stabilizer serves only as an added precaution. But in our country where voltage fluctuations are as wide as the value of rupee, this gadget is of no use. I installed it for my AC but found out to my dismay that it would shut off the AC after every five minutes or thereabouts. I'd to ultimately put it out and install a proper voltage transformer after which I breathed easy.
