Awasthis voice is raw and unadulterated, shaking a polished industry from its roots with tracks such as the critically acclaimed Tera Hi Karam to the socio-politically driven Khuda Ka Wasta.
About the album
Plenty of earthy rustic vocals, melancholic to high energy tracks with modern catchy production styles and meaningful socio/political influenced lyrics
Appeals to: a collegians wide range of people with urban sensibilities, anyone from young to senior professionals.

A very honest and successful attempt. Music and Lyrics are very different then the daily songs we keep on listening. They both hold you and force you to repeat the tracks again and again.
The Title Track "SOMRASS" and "AB KA HUIHAY" will become your fav in first time itself. Whereas "BULBULA", "LAFZON KE GULDASTEY" are nore serious songs and will be in your top list after understanding the lyrics which are simply very very good.
"SABUN" is also one of my fav's.
If you like usual, nonsense pop music, this is not for you. This is crude, rustic awesomeness. Pankaj’s voice is something else, his lyrics are awesome – only to those who are into folkish, alternative music. I don’t know how to best genre-ise this though. It’s not as sophisticated as Kailasa or Indian Ocean, but I guess I love it way more! It’s fabulous!
An album that redefines alternative/IndiPop. Pankaj awasthi is a rockstar and he has raised the bar 'up so high' with this album. I fail to understand why they haven't promoted this gem.
