Songs Of Blood And Sword (English, Paperback, Bhutto Fatima)
Songs of Blood and Sword is a memoir by Fatima Bhutto.
Summary of the Book
The Bhutto family is famous for courting tragedy after tragedy. Fatima Bhutto’s father, Murtaza, was brutally murdered in September 1996, while his daughter hid in a windowless dressing room, shielding her baby brother from the gunfire. Pakistan’s continuous attempts to kill members of the Bhutto family who seek to better the situation is a vivid reminder that not all mankind sees change in the same light. This book tells the story of the Bhutto family as it rose from feudal landownership to power-brokerage. It is embedded in the very story of Pakistan and its tragic courtship with chaos. Part memoir and part grief-stricken song by a daughter to her father, this book is the story of Fatima Bhutto’s family and her father, Murtaza Bhutto’s assassination.
