Sony CFD-RS60CP Boom Box

Ever since the onset of home theaters, boom boxes have become almost obsolete. I had to look around and search frenetically for this item. I wanted this box from a really really long time. I checked outside and the same product was about 400 - 500 bucks cheaper here + free home delivery + Cash on delivery!! What more can one ask for. The item in itself is an awesome gadget. Size is perfect, sound quality as well as volume is awe inspiring!!! I can play my old cassettes, CDs as well as USB and radio. The brand Sony itself says it all. A must buy for anyone who likes music and cant afford a home theater (or doesn't want one)

Sony CFD-RS60CP.... I purchased it from Flipkart and started instantly using from the 1st hour of receipt. Product gets my 5 Star ratings, particularly due to the ease of use, quality and pricing. So far after about 10 days after I received this product, I have been using the CD, MP3, USB & Radio options. Although the cassette option available, I feel this is obsolete & since I don't have any cassette with me have never used it on this.

Pros:
- Sound quality is perfect as promised by the manufacturer
- portable
- remote available & is realy handy with usb, cd or MP3
- extra brass feature for more enjoyment

cons
- remote is not too useful, particularly for the radio option
- remote rage is also inferior
- cassette recorder is actually obsolete, hence should not have been present, so that the product size could have been reduced to some extent

The nearest competitor would probably be a philips, but features with competitive pricing makes this particular model very attractive.

First of all I would like to inform that my all family is music lover, and likes to listen to all types of music. I was searching a good boom box since long time my earlier one was National boom box red colour which many families have since 1990.
The good points I liked about Sony CFD-RS60CP Boom Box are
1. Auto tuning Facility and Memory for radio stations so you can save your favourite radio stations. ( although a common feature but was not available in my earlier one)
2. It plays MP3, USB and CDS and Cassette player and hence an all in one player.
3. Has remote control to cds and mp3 and radio, (Not cassette Player)
4. It has small display but it good enough to display tracks so you can select
5. Sound quality is superb in respect to small player of course you should not compare the same with 5.1 Channel amplifier etc.
6. It has bass boost feature which is quite similar to Walkman series mobiles of course you cannot equate the same.
All and all the best player for the under 7K.

The delivery of the product was done by Flipkart in time and with proper packaging being done. The sound quality is good. The only disadvantage is that the manual is not very good. The radio station always starts from 87.5 FM. You have to tune it to the desired frequency. But on the whole a good product one can purchase if the requirement is for a boombox

after 7 days used...i want to tell something about the product..the product is awesome....the sound quality is great..if i give 10/10 to walkman series music player...i will give it 9/10..the disadvantage is ...not come with full function remote..otherwise it is a great product to music lover...
