Worth buy - Awesome product
Even though it was not brought through flipkart, this is a beautiful, feature rich camera. Offers so many features for so lesser price, faster performance. I had a side by side comparison with Canon A3200 - priced around 1000bucks less but similar features and capacity. 610 overtook all the tests in terms of quality, speed, performance and battery backup.
I think any nearest competitor to this camera is at least overpriced by 1000-2000bucks.
If you have a strict budget of 5k and land in this page for a review, I would better suggest you to raise your budget and postpone treating your friends after buying this. :)
PS- I bought this piece 100 bucks lesser price in a famous retail chain of electronic shops with all accessories. So flipkart will NOT give you any advantage on pricing. Choice is yours!!!
I had also heard good reviews about Canon in google but this proved me wrong in all cases in point and shoot range of cams.

Awesome stuff at cheap rate
a good still cam for those who wanna take excellent pics.
But the images which are taken by Sweep panorama feature are not that much of quality. If u want panorama images its better to take images separately and stitch them together.. :)
except that feature... Its an awesome cam for beginners(in photography)...
Auto intelligence mode is new technology.. Of-course its working at its level.

Value For Money
I bought this right before my vacations, so I used it a lot. I would say it is a good camera and VFM but could have been better at ZOOM : 4X. I was using a Samsung (7.2 MP) but the zoom was better, if you are looking for a simple camers it does the job very well.
Pros:
1. Good pictures
2. Sleek and fast processing between pictures
3. Display is good
4. any modes to chose from
5. Video comes out to be very clear at voice and display
6. Panorma sweep is nice feature but Windows does not play it, just display as long picture
Cons:
1. Zoom is not very effective
2. Picture gets too bright if clicking someone wearing white dress or light color or you have to adjust the programming mode to get it better
3. Pictures in low light are not good.

Digital Zoom is only 8X
I bought this product from flipkart, so that i would not get cheated with the duplicate products. But i was unhappy after buying the original product of SONY CAMERA'S. As per their specification regarding zoom of 9x as digital zoom, this camera only zooms upto 8x only. If it cant zoom upto 9x why have they given the specification of 9x. I would request flipkart and other buyers to check the and flipkart should let them check the functions before paying them, so client would not feel CHEATED.
