Sony DAV-DZ340 5.1 Home Theatre System

It was awesome to watch football match with the sound effect & i happen to watch jurassic park movie awsome sound effect and BASS..

No wonder why sony is the best....All Simply superb...

Its a great sound machine..superb BASS ...BASS never goes distorted..you will feel like you are on a live concert.
Simple design(NO styling like Philips 3D etc )but great sound. No one can match the sound quality of SONY Machines.These guys are simply great. Great manufacturer of great things. If you are planning to but Home theater, don't look for others.. go for it. You can set the distance of your individual speaker in the Playing devise so it will adjust the sound accordingly... Awesome feature.

Bought this home theater after one month of looking for a good music system,(patient pays :-) ).
Name itself tells the quality of sound it gives.
Sound is very rich and full, amazing experience with Dolby Digital output(there are different sound mode too).
Setup/Installation is very easy.
FM plays excellent( I never heard FM with this much great sound quality before).
Even at Max it gives clear sound with superb bass(no distortion).
Excellent product at a little high price.

Recently purchased DZ340. sound quality is awesome. clarity is superb. fm is excellent. my room vibrates by the heavy bass from woofer.

comparison with bdv290:- far better than bdv290. bdv290 sound is lower as compared to dz340 (i have checked mp3's, dvd's and not blueray). also the treble in bdv290 is not good. if you hear both, you will know the difference in sound quality .dz340 is much better. also blueray cds cost a minimum of 1000 bucks whereas dvds cost around 400-500 bucks. hence bdv290(blueray player) is not a right player to purchase now. dz340 has upscaling mechanism by which you will get near about hd picture quality from dvd

comparison with sonys lower home theatre models:- dont buy lower models as they are not having ARC.

Comparison with Philips/Samsung/Panasonic:- Sony is master in audio. The Bass is more in Sony as compared to others.

connectivity:- although dz340 is not having optical input and it does not support many movie formats but it has one important feature called ARC . if your lcd / led is having hdmi with ARC you can receive the tv sound through home theatre. if your tv is having two hdmi ports with any one ARC enabled you can plug ps3 or tablet/laptop(which can play avi, mkv etc formats) to one hdmi port and home theatre to another hdmi port with ARC to get the 5.1 sound through home theatre. In future you can buy blueray player and connect them to one of the hdmi inputs of tv.

some says that they bought bdv290 bcoz it supports different movie formats. but my question is if audio quality is not good then what is the use? blueray is still new in market and the players takes too much time to boot, read disks etc. blueray players is still not upto the mark.

Black Hawk Down:- recently purchased dvd of above movie for testing and believe me it sounded as if i am present physically in somalia.

i have this home theatre...i found this best in class at this price tag...i think its best bass machine in sony Home Theatre's...everything in dis is good except it cant play HD/Full HD videos via USB!!! we need to write DVD's for that!!! else things r good...bass is ok...am heavy bass lover and my old 4800w HiFi system gives better bass than this!!!
