Sony Ericsson Txt CK13i

I have been a loyal customer of sony ericsson starting from their walkman series of phones. But this one was a shocker. Did a one month long research comparing various features across brands and felt this had the best of all: boy, wasnt i mistaken.This is a shame on the name/brand that Sony Ericsson has created for itself. They must not venture into such low end models - rather try doing thigns that they are not good at. Coming to the cons: Keys are so small (though it looks bigger in pics) that u need a needle to type a message. The OS (or whatever processor code it has) is slower than a snail on a segway. U can click a button, go boil and egg and come back before it opens that folder. Music player is horrible and the headphones were the worst of the lot. U have to keep holding it to hear a good voice. The worst feature i found was that the reminder keeps ringing till u physically come and switch it off: dude i asked for a reminder, not an alarm. Damn, I wanted a proper text phone...obviously blackberry was the first choice...i cant believe i went for saving some money to get something that purportedly looks/functions like blackberry...must have just forgotten the extra 4k and bought blackberry itself.Oh the reasons I hate this phone keeps increasing day by day, so much that i have a draft-message saying:why this phone sucks:which i keep updating atleast twice daily. Bottom line: This phone sucks..if u looking for a good text phone, go for blackberry itself. If u want a good OS based phone for the same cost, go for equivalent Samsung models. NEVER NEVER buy Sony Ericsson in the low range. Can you believe, i still find Nokia 1100 better than this?

I completely agree with Mithun Paul... Never seen such a cell phone in sony ericsson.. Am die hard fan of SonyEricsson company .. But sometimes I wounder where these people has lost or dropped out their common sense and built such a cell model which i feel is equal to china handsets ... not worth buying ... Waste of money...I brought this cell from Flipkart itself..
1. Camera quality very poor
2.Voice recorder completely useless.Good for nothing..
3.Camera voice recording same problem.
4.Very slow in performance
5.Display of the message text not visible completely
6.Calculator has no option of unit convention
7.No themes available in market for this model
8.Does not allow third party permission in gprs/net connection
9.Sound output very poor again in ear phones..
10.More over ear phones useless.. wont fit the ear lobs properly. drops out constantly.. I dont know what has happened to these sony ericsson company. They are the one to introduce the ear buds system in ear phones and now whats wrong with them , they them self are shifting / manufacturing ear phones with large one which makes very boring product..
Over all my advice is not to buy this phone and not worth of price also.

I am writing this review after around 4 months of usage. I have the white color.
Pros:-
1.Good Looking
2.Decent Battery backup
3.Good camera in day conditions
4.Wifi enabled
5.Bigger screen size and great clarity
6.Good call quality
7.Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo

Cons:-
1.Phone has only one blue theme(no themes available for download over the internet or from phone)(so you can just change the wallpapers)
2.Buttons are small as compared to blackberry(for people having eyesight problems, this phone will make them feel as they are blind)
3.White color number pad is in green color and cannot be read easily
4.Even after updating the software or formatting the phone, in a few days starts lagging very badly.
5.There is an issue with old software. Calls drop frequently
6.No data cable supplied
7.While the phone is On, you cannot know that it is fully charged or not. It shows 100% battery but if you switch it off, then you can see it is still charging and takes around 15 minutes more to show fully charged. If you charge while it is On and remove it before it is fully charged then you will get very low battery backup
8.Don't buy this if you are choosing between the blackberry and this. Even if you are low on budget, wait sometime and then buy blackberry.

Myself also sonyericsson fan, so i went for this, but performance really made me upset.

Its only the special 'profile' feature for which i purchased the phone (in which you can list people/group of ppl whose call the mobile will accept and any other call it will reject saying that "the user u r calling is busy"). I work in such a job that i need some time to work in peace while my clients gets the idea tht i am really busy and not avoiding them. HEHE :)

But this phone came and gave me another lot of worries.
SLOW OPERATION,
POOR BATTERY PERFORMANCE,
SMALL KEYS,
SOME USELESS FEATURES (PICASA,YOUTUBE,ETC) PPL POSSIBLY DONT USE IN SUCH A BASIC PHONE THAT DOESN'T HAVE 3G.
NO GAMES
NO THEMES
CONVERSATION FEATURE IN MESSAGING IS PAINFUL AND WORST.
DEDICATED FRIENDS BUTTION ISNT THAT USEFUL OR HELPFUL (YOU CAN ONLY VIEW THE LAST MESSAGE, YOU CANT STRAIGHTAWAY REPLY OR WHITE A NEW MESSAGE FROM THERE)
CAMERA IS POOR, NO FLASH, AND SHUTTER SOUND CANNOT BE MUTED.
LOT MORE POOR THINGS ARE THERE... BUY SOMETING ELSE FRIENDS IF YOU REALLY DONT NEED THIS 'PROFILE' FEATURE.

The phone provides certain outstanding functions for its price tag of 6k.
I purchased it from Flipkart about 15 days back, who needless to say provide an excellent service.
My 10 Points of review -
1. The Apps include almost everything that one desires in a day to day usage.
2. The interface is user friendly.
3. The phone design is the best in its range (way better than Samsung Chat/ Nokia C3)
4. The Screen size & colours are also pretty decent.
5. Camera is excellent, however the video quality is average.
6. The keypad may pose a problem for those who have big fingers (It took me a while to get used to it).
7. The Internet speed is pretty good as well (for its price range).
8. Network receptivity is good.
9. The head-phones provided along with the phone are average. For those who like good quality music, buying a new set of headphones is the only way out.
10. Overall, a good buy. Has business features (Email, Internet, Mini Browser) along with Social Networking Apps. It indeed has value for money. Go for it!
