go to hell samsung .. who wants the over exaggerated contrast on amoled ... just look at the beautiful display on xperia arc s . unlike samsung and htc every model in sony ericsson can be differentiated from the 1st look itself lol...coming to price u have to give it for the ,display,camera,performace, DESIGN ... just because sony is bad in marketing ppl have wrong impression on the brand ..... id say get one its an amazing phone
Every phone has its pros and cons...
i suggest everyone to first list our what they need and is useful for them
Arc has the best display,resolution and its look!! tooo hot!
And i used a phone with secondary cam for 2 years previously,and never even opened it atleast once....
And i am sure that i would never make video calls and the 3G rates also donot permit to...
So think before opting for other fones just for the sake of it...
if you want looks,display,resolution,camera and a decent processor(1.4ghz is more than enough for most of the apps) donot think beyond and go for it...
And coming to the battery...battery is the basic problem of smart phones...can't help...
but yes i agree that the battery back up is not good
@Sameer Chavan's
dude for your kind information sony is not the last to release the updates.and sony is better than htc and samsung because sony takes care of their all smartphones from low-end to high-end thats why they are updating their all smartphones (from xperia mini to arc s) to android 4(ics)....not like samsung who doesn't even updating their galaxy s,upcoming galaxy w many others....
1) The SE Xperia Arc S has display with FWVGA(854x480) resolution as compared to WVGA (800 x 480) resolution of SGSII. The effect is that when we observe any video on SE ArcS the video is full screen and there are no side cutting black strips/lines as in the case of SGSII.
2) The Display of Xperia Arcs has bravia engine due to which colours are more real and live as compared to SGSII . In later case the contrast is good but colours reproduced by the screen looks artificial and unreal.
It is up to you which device do you choose.
A person who has voted it down must be an ignorant Samsung fan. Don't know their favourite brand can only copy and paste from others or just add an eye-candy or two or some superfluous things and minor improvements on the base product.
Sony Ericsson, only need to do their marketing right.
As far as this phone is concerned, it rocks
and one of the best at this range.
