This set reminds me of my childhood, when I play my childhood favorite AIR Cuttack on it. Unlike those times, the FM stations are like honey added on it. I was looking for for a FM radio with SW and after a lot of research zeroed on this Sony FM radio on Flipkart. I used to regularly listen to BBC world service during my college days i.e. 25 years ago. I was very happy to receive it as it was delivered before the promised scheduled time. Great buy for this price !!

A Nice small radio, with beautiful retro looks. And it does have Excellent Sound in spite of having a mono speaker !! That's the plus point of this piece.

The reception is pretty good. I get very good FM (in Mumbai) after adjusting antenna properly. AM reception is not that great. I can get some SW stations - some clear, some noisy - if I place the radio near the window. But I have rarely got any better SW reception with any radio, so that's not a major drawback. Positive points:
-Very light weighted,handy and look wise good redio receiver.
-SW tuning is very fine.audio quality is also good.

I bought this product recently. The delivery came within 4 days of ordering.
This product is of very good quality. The sound is crisp and clear.

Please take a note of an important thing.

PLEASE CHECK THE MRP WHILE TAKING DELIVERY. I was charged Rs. 490 more than the MRP.

Flipkart returned this money to me upon my complaint.

Happy to have purchased.

As these kind of transistor radios, with manual tuning are decreasingly available in the market, I logged onto Flipkart to search for it. And Voila, I got so many options! I chose this one on the basis of:
1. detailed specification
2. good reviews and ratings.
I ma happy to have bought this. The sound quality is good. The manual tuning knob does a good job. As long as I'm withing range of radio towers, this Sony radio is a good companion, and hopefully a long-lasting one!!

Great radio !

1) sweet pleasant sound upto mid volume .
2) with careful tuning reception is very good on all 3 bands .
3) surprisingly short-wave reception is better than my old Sony ST-333S radio deck, probably because of the more modern integrated chip (Sony CXA1019S) this has . The ST-333S of course has much longer SW range being a big full size radio .

Excellent product

The strong part of this radio is it's speaker. It does produce good sound.Very good bass/treble (Compared to other radios in the market)
Moreover it has excellent reception on all the three bands.

Good buy, but could have better tuning and volume control

For those still love listening to songs, enjoying fluctuating and echoing sound, tuning again and again as the integral part of enjoying the process of listening to music, the product may make them nostalgic. Sound quality is good; tuning just OK. Good had it been made digital, as FM frequencies for majority stations either overlap or take lots of time to get the correct tune. Anyway, for this price, this is not a bad buy.
