Design
The Sony MDR-EX60LP has been ergonomically designed to look trendy and appealing to eyes. This headphone features angled ear bud structure that, apart from being a stable and comfortable wear, forms a nearly complete acoustic seal to isolate the ambient noise. Also, these ear buds are made up of the hybrid silicone rubber material that adds on to the durability of the earphone. From each ear bud, a wire trails downwards to pass through the cord slider and reach the other end. On the whole, this cable is 1.2 m long and is made up of the Litz cord material that promises durability. Further, the Y-configuration adds on to the overall comfort level. This Sony earphone sports a 3.5 mm connector to pair with other devices.Sound

This earphone promises to be aptly loud as it has an impedance level of 16 ohm. Further, this Sony earphone has a frequency response of 5 Hz to 23000 Hz. So, you get to experience sharp highs, powerful bass and a clear midrange response. This headphone from Sony can produce 100 dB of sound from every mW of electrical input. Frequently Bought Together With This Product
This earphone has really very good depth in bass. Music quality is excellent. It produces even minute details of music.
Features I like :
1)we can listen to music for long periods and unlike normal headphones we wont feel any pain in our ears.
2)The earphones will fit your ears and reduce outside noise, whether you are traveling or exercising.
3)Stable comfortable wearing and long-term wearing comfort.
If you are a bass lover, go for it.
What you get: (Stuff not mentioned in product specs above)
- One pair of Canal-phones
- Four pairs of ear-buds (varying sizes SS, S, M, L)
- A Cord-adjuster/Cable-winder
Note: L-shaped connector
(Disclaimer - Subjectivity starts here)
Pros:
- Crisp and clear sound
- Pretty comfortable on the ear
- The stuff that design makes it easy to put on
- Symmetric cable - none of those behind the head nonsense
- Reasonable insulation from external noise
- Cable-winder - a thoughtful addition
- Also has that small bit which allows you to adjust the point where the cable spits into 2
Cons:
- Bass - on the heavy side - you are better off going for something else if you are not a big bass lover (like me)
- Cable quality seems very ordinary - squiggly wires with shape memory
- No pouch to carry the earphones or the array of buds
Having owned a Creative EP-630 for 3 years, I am definitely not disappointed with the 60LP.
Its been 2 years(yes 2 years) since I bought this headphone. I bought it from market not from flipkart actually. I was in confusion during all those times whether to go for Creative or sony or apple. Believe me when I say this, In this price range around Rs.1000, these headphones are worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. As I said its 2 years, and if anyone has second thoughts, I can ASSURE you, you won't regret after buying them, the bass is still INTACT after such long time stretch. And you don't know how careless I am in handling those wires. I'm just waiting for how long are these gonna last so that I can again buy the same ones from flipkart LOL. Seriously, I'd give 10/10 to these. Sony rocks!
Hello my name is Sujan Baruah. Bought this product through the person above.
Review:
Well, to begin with, i bought this headphone solely relying on the reviews here. Everyone here said that its a BASS headphone. NO ITS NOT. Its a 'Natural' sounding headphone. That is, it wont make the bass more than its supposed to be. This also means that this headphone isn't for bassheads. The bass is there but its not HUGE. Its 'Controlled'. Definately non fatiguing.
Other aspects of the sound is superb!!! Mids are perfect. Treble is absolutely clear. Some may find it coloured (i.e more treble than supposed to be) but that doesnt create any sibilance. As i said earlier, Its Non-Fatiguing.
Comfort is the first thing that amazed me right out of the box. Man!!! Its totally non existent. Its goes deep inside. And due to its angled design, the headphone rests inside the canal without irritating other parts of the ear. Best comfort of all headphones i ever bought (philips she9700, Brainwavz Pro Alpha, philips she3750, Skullcandy Riot).
Wire is thin. Definately wont survive intense tension. Normal usage and pull is sustainable. Thin wire contributes to low weight which in turn helps in keeping the headphones to fall off the ear.
Sound isolation is low. Bass may get low in noisy environment. But this in turn helps in keeping the head cool. And it 'definately' helps in keeping away from scoldings from parents when they fail to get any response from you when they try to call you from some other room...XD...(big problem solved in my case...haha..
In short, Its a really good headphone that lets out a really pleasing sound signature without any colouring of the bass. But remember...'NOT for BassHeads".
First of all Thanks FK... i got delivery on second day !!!! talk about fast delivery !!! n it was Cash on delivery so tipped the "Flip Boy" for the lightning speed process ;) ...
I love Blue and the character that the "BLUE" EX60LP potrays is of a "boyish audiophile" who knows his music :)... it actually has a glossy finish. I am more of a matte finish person ...but Sony are bang on with the colour selection to make it stand out outstandingly...
It was Love at first sight when i unwrapped it from a neat package screaming "FLIPKART" all over it.... I momentarily got distracted by the flipkart bill and the "mesmerizing bubble wrap". I had no option but to burst all the bubbles before actually opening the box and it has been all hunky dory since then. Since the last 4 years i had stuck to CREATIVE EP-630 re buying it 3 times in a row ... but given the SONY family name i never really doubted the performance (looks good on paper too 5Hz~23000Hz response)... I have tested it across all media devices and was floored by its overall detail in music reproduction especially the clarity of Bass that the EX60LP gives at high volumes (dont play at high volumes for long as u can potentially/surely damage ur hearing)... the CREATIVE piece was awsome to begin with but this just took a notch up in bass segment .... this entitles the SONY for a very nearly perfect 10 score
Trebble :: 10/10 (Low volume) 10/10 (High Volume)
Mid tone:: 9/10 (Low volume) 9/10 (High Volume)
Bass :: 9/10 (Low volume) 10/10 (High Volume)
STATUTORY WARNING ::: Some Equalizer tweaks must for Bass Heads ..... n listning to EX60LP at Very High Volume is INJURIOUS to ur auditory senses ... NJOI ... ;)
