The MDR-J10 is a beautifully crafted headphone from Sony that has combined a bounty of features for an enhanced audio performance. The MDR-J10 is based on in-the-ear design that optimises the comfort level for an extended period of use. Further, behind-the-ear design ensures that the headphone remains intact in your ears even while you are occupied by any other outdoor activity. This device offers you wired connectivity and is ready to pair with a range of mobile phones and music players.
Design
This headphone has been engineered to be an awe-inspiring combination of both style and functionality. Each ear bud is attached to a hook that wraps around the back side of your ear for an enhanced comfort level. Also, it ensures that the ear buds remain intact in its place while you turn and twist your head. These ear buds shoot a cable downwards that meets each other at one point to form a single cable. This earphone houses a cord slider to help you neatly manage this earphone. Additionally, this slider avoids tangling of the cables. This headphone comes with a 3.5 mm plug that is angular in nature to help this earphone endure excessive strain at this point because of frequent bending. This Sony earphone helps you to conveniently position the audio source as the cable is 1.2 m long.
Sound
This Sony headphone utilises two 13.5 mm headphone driver units to convert the electrical input into sound waves. These units house a Neodymium magnet and a PET diaphragm to give more thrust to bass and to attribute sharpness and clarity to high frequency notes. Further, the presence of Sony acoustic twin turbo circuit reinforces the audio quality. This headphone is adequately loud as it has an impedance of 16 ohm. This device efficiently transforms every mW of electrical input into 104 dB of sound waves. Also, the MDR-J10 embeds noticeable volume to every beat present in the original track as the frequency response lies between 18 Hz and 20000 Hz. This headphone has maximum power input of 50 mW that makes it an ideal device to be used with most of the portable audio players.

Very poor sound quality
It offer very poor quality of headphones.If you are coming from iphone , bose quality ..god only help you. I bought it reading good reviwe but it turns out crap. It has good ear holding support though , good for running. But i am very upset about sound quality. It like some china made product.

so this bud is nowhere near all of them mentioned above

people thinking to buy stock buds and other low end heads around 400-500 bucks.....cut the deal and buy these

l bought them bcoz they are supercheap....no sorrow if I loose dem at bus or train
moreover they fit my ears well so no chances of falling in public places
one more issue I face is....many times friends borrow earphone....but they don't treat them well....especially iem...I don't like friends put my costly buds inside their ear....so this unit is good to share with others.
also dey are lightweight
I like bass and tight seal of ears....but in public try to be the opposite....so its good as a secondary unit and rough use unit....I have used it in real harsh manners and its still working

so for people who are coming from stock buds...buy these....Ull nt be dissatisfied
for people who don't buy a lot of earphones or headphones....u hv to pay for sound....ull nt get quality sound below 1000bucks....so plz stop shouting bass,highs,mids,lows...

again a great service from flipkart. the product doesnot deserve that cost.. its one of the worst products sony ever released. the model is too good but coming to the bass.. it will be rated just 1/5. the treble is very f9. for those who dont mind of bass can go for it. over all its just 2/5

Very comfortable ear phones!
I have used sooo many ear phones. (I am not a fan of in-ear earphones) They all are very good. But when you use them for extended period of time, they will cause discomfort in the ear. But Sony's ergonomics seemed very nice. I have used it for a long time. I have to say it's very nice.
Positive points:

> Good quality audio.
Negative points:
> Bass is NOT very good. It's nice but not to the level I expected.
> To experience good bass, we have to press the ear phones close to our ears.

You get what you pay for
I love these things. If you are talking straight cost vs. quality/longevity you cant really beat it. i have used them for years. occasionally ive tried expensive "high quality" headphones and they hardly last much longer than these. to me spending 550 bucks to get about a years worth of headphone usage is a great bargain and unless you need to accurately identify each sound frequency in what you are listening to the sound quality in these is MORE than enough, perfect for listening to music and movies.
