Little beauty

I was looking for a thin pen drive to fit in my wallet at a nominal price range. The Sony Micro vault USM-V8 is the perfect solution.

Received it on the second day of order placement. Good service as usual from flipkart.

About the product
Pros:
1. Thin (2.3mm). It fits perfectly in my wallet. Its actually thinner than a Rs.5 Coin
2. Its thin throughout the entire length
3. Weighs next to nothing (1.5g)
4. Nominal price for its size (Rs.365 as i write this review). About Rs.45 per GB

Tiny Yet Powerful !

Got this few days back from Flipkart , Packing was good slim pouch, got warranty for 1year along.

About the Product :

Pros :

1. its slim fits into my wallet. Handy basically
2. it works with a faster speed of 8mbps over OS X lion
3. PC formatting it with MS-Dos works with 7mbps over windows 7
4. its water resistant coz its IC is Sealed
5. after formatting i get 7.5gb space

Cons :

i am still trying hard to find any :)

First of all thanks to flipkart.com service for on time delivery of my product. (a day earlier)

I love Sony always, this is the best choice to select pen drive with 8GB storage, i like this pen drive because its:
1. Slim
2. Light weight
3. Nominal data transfer rate
4. Handy
5. ESD protected
6. Capless
etc.. etc...

Not sure weather its water resistant or not

Its very nice and tiny piece of Sony, it hides in my wallet, but anyway i am going to use this with my bike's key chain

Great Accessory for me in my wallet

Its always been a inconvenience when you need to store something and you don't have your pen drive, even if you remember to have one on you its too bulky to hang around your pockets with your keys etc. This was a superb alternative which goes in a corner of my wallet give the flexibility to carry documents and other important files. Great Looks but Practically Fragile

This a great product by SONY and the looks and compactness of this pen drive are a great advantage. However when frequently used the plastic case tends to give way sooner than expected. This pen drive is best for buyers who would rarely need to remove the drive and want to use it for audio players. It is definitely not a workhorse. First impression: Very slim & super compact PD. Beware of the "all plastic" body! Go for it only if you want to add another tiny PD to your collection. Please reconsider, if this's gonna be your primary PD or if you've gonna play it hard..! Cos this one is a real delicate piece- must be handled with care.

Deceptive image, but great design

Don't be fooled. No one I know has recieved the interesting gold-strip design as shown on the picture. We have all recieved the regular 4-parallel-strips USB, so the picture is a bit decieving. That being said, however, I gotta give it to Sony for making an incredibly sleek product. While it looks fragile (and can easily be inserted upside down in the USB slot accidentally), if you're just a little careful you can store it almost anywhere (wallet, pockets, keychain, even in a phone case).

Good product.. But very easy to lose..

I was looking for a small sized pen drive for my car USB slot, as I didn't want the USB stick in my car to be protruding too far out.

This product fits this description perfectly and is amazingly compact and works very well for my car.

It is actually small enough to get misplace easily.

I would recommend buyers to go for this product only if you don't intend to move it around too much.
