Although I didn't bought from flipkart, but would like to share a review. It's has been almost two weeks and everytime I took a picture, this camera simply amazes me.

I won't go to the specs. But simply would like to explain what this camera is capable to do:

Having an idea of proper lighting and settings, i got stunning pictures of smoke photography, baloon burst, nightlife which I used to see on photography magazines and on flickr. This camera is power-packed with almost all the fetures of a normal SLR camera, with an added advantage of Lightweight body. It's just amazing.

My Wife gifted this camera to me and even she liked using this camera's navigation and she also developed an interest in Photography watching me experimenting.

The only Bad point of this camera is that Sony won't provide any body cover (to cover the sensor when lens is removed) and rear lens cap (to cover the rear of the lens when it's detached). I contacted sony india and they said that they don't provide any. Sounds illogical, but I am sure I can get one in the local camera store.

I'll give this little wonder a 5 star.

I am an amateur photographer and am used to an habit of upgrading my cameras. The most important feature i require in a camera is that is has to be user friendly, fast and easy to use, as i believe that the most beautiful pictures are not captured when you wait patiently but when you just spot the object, unpack your camera and capture your shot before you loose it. ( Expressions in my case)
The Sony NEX 5 amuses me every time. I frankly opted for this camera as i was a little low on budget to get a competing model from another brand which is very famous in its segment. But trust me, this one is much better than the other 3100 options.
It definitely is a surprise package and worth a buy.

Wonder why Sony discontinued this model. I still wish to buy other lens options available and upgrade to something new that Sony gets for us in the market.

well for me SLR is huge size i cant take all where , nex 5 is solid build i can grab well in my hand , i believe taking photograph is quality of photographer just camera need have that capability , i buy this camera from sony showroom but price still better here .
pros :
-solid build i can say SLR quality images , video.
- not big size compact , good lens , good functionality
- big enough sensor to take better pics
- faster shutter speed same as SLR
- easy to operate .
- good price as mirror less camera
i am fully satisfied even i buy vivitar 49 mm lens to add some macro capability these lens re cheap and can be added as attachment .

this camera is really best buy for me as Game developer , i need take textures , it does all work for me

Hi this camera does almost everything a dslr can.. I have been using dslrs from a long time and i brought this for street photography.. Here is something that you should consider before buying this one..

If you are new to dslr photography, this is a great learner camera. You can actully see how your picture would look like before you click one.

Pros
Great learner's camera. You get instant feedback before you shoot
Great image quality
With correct adapters you can fit any lens to this. I have been using all cheap and vintage lenses with this cam and it work better with these lenses than any expensive dslr

Cons
No viewfinder
Nikon and canon users may find manu system inefficient
No in camera stabilization
No iso 100
No great choices of native lenses. Available options are very expensive

Delivery, as usual, was excellent from flipkart.com. As for the camera itself, found it to be a revelation since am new to the MILC type of Cameras and have had a pleasant experience with it till now :)
