The device has a maximum recording time of up to 64 hours and 40 minutes.
Design
Shaped like a pen drive, this Sony Walkman has dimensions of 89.2 x 24 x 15 mm and is extremely convenient to carry around. The lightweight gadget weighs only 28 g and comes with a clip that can be used to attach the Sony NWZ-B172F to your belt or clothing. Sony has fitted a 3-line LCD display on the face of the device for your comfort.Next to the display, a circular multifunction button is located that helps in easy navigation through the menu and also control the device effectively. The Sony Walkman has a built-in USB which eliminates the need of an external USB cable for file transferring purpose.
Battery and Storage
The Sony NWZ-B172F ships with an internal memory of 2 GB that allows you to store up to 440 songs at 128 kbps. This MP3 Walkman is powered by a built-in Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery. You can listen to your choicest tunes for up to 18 hours before plugging the device to a charging point.Charging the music player is a simple job. The USB-based charging option lets you plug the Walkman to a laptop or PC and let your device get charged while you wind up on your work. The product needs 70 minutes' time to be charged completely. However, if you are in a hurry and need to carry the device with you, a quick charge of 3 minutes is good to last for 90 minutes.

a very nice product.the god colour is not so gold so maybe you should buy red/pink if you want a flashy model.features are great.

the usb cap should have a wire or something to keep the cap and the player together.

i have seen other players too like the ipod sec gen is just for show i mean you think a player without a screen,without bass or any thing else and its for 3400Rs. ipod is just for showoff like"look i have a apple ipod". so instead of wasting your time and money buy this thing:)

Difference between Sony NWZ-B172F n Sony NWZ-B162F
I have the old Sony NWZ-B162F n itz pretty decent. Hows the new one. if anyone have used both pls differentiate between the 2. btw Stats wise it is the same but the sound quality can be different which i m hoping that the new one has better sound quality or else it will be just a market strategy by changing the design n no change in reality.

Sony the BEST!!!
After a long research I bought this one and it is the best...The Volume and the clarity is amazing.You might get a cheaper one with more space like Philips but this would be the best.
Battery life is good...The only thing which has to be looked at is the Knob to shuffle between the songs..
