Does not make Sense!!!!

No matter how technically advanced a product is, it price can ultimately cause its demise. I am afraid that PS Vita will fall prey to its Price. A 160GB PS3 is available at Rs.16990 but the Cheapest VITA cost Rs. 19990. Thats Insane, i actually Dont know Customs and other Taxes can cause it to have such a difference. Then there is the Price of the Games, the difference between the high End games on the PS3 and the PSVITA is only a couple of hundred Bucks. Ex - FIFA 13 cost 2799 on the VITA and the 2999 on the PS3. U see except a few everyone is going to compare it with the its Big Brother. It will always end up falling short. I dont agree with its premium pricing on games and hardware, no matter how good it is. Waiting for Guys at SONY to wake up, then probably will buy one!

In simple words - Awesome

PS Vita has been a indeed been showstopper for 2012. Finally its here and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I believe that the vita has arrived to flipkart just today.

Pros -
* obviously the amazing cortex 9 quad core CPU, that Sony states that its as powerful as the PS3 in terms of processing power. The graphics is powered by the SGX543MP4+ GPU with VRAm of 128 MB and has a RAM of 512 MB. Might not sound much but how much but its quite enough for a 5" display.
* 5" capacitive multitouch touchscreen OLED display
* Rear touch pad. (but I really don't know how useful it would be)
* The second analog stick.
* exclusion of the UMD slot with a PS Vita card slot for games.
* support for 3G and GPS, though not in this model.
* newer user interface introduces multitasking.
* Six-axis motion sensing system.
* Front and back camera

Cons -
* The battery life, although I have not tested it myself. Users say it has a max capacity of 5 hrs
* Poor resolution cameras
* The price as of now, (INR 19,990 for WiFi only model and INR 24,990 for WiFi + 3G model; date - 25/2/2012)

The Best Eight Generation Portable Gaming Console

While Sony Dominated The Sixth Generation With The PS2 , Seventh Generation with The PS3 , Eight Generation Portable PS Vita has all from the previous generations .
A 5inch OLED Screen Screen Gives you Great Gameplay . I got my Hands on Uncharted Golden Abyss and Asphalt Injection ( Demo ) . While Uncharted Is May Be The Best Exclusive on PS3 its also now a PS Vita Exclusive . While The Gameplay of Both ( Asphalt and Uncharted ) Was great . But in Uncharted The Interactive Features like Touching The Ledge For Climbing , Tilting The PS Vita For Maintaing Balance , Touching The Enemy or Screen For Killing Them , Swiping The Screen For Charcoal Rubbing Or To Open A Door Was Great . And It may be will be other titles too . While Asphalt Demo gave me only one 1 race and 2 Cars , The Options for Designing The Looks , Improving The Car Performance , Option To Choose your Sponsor was great . Plus Because of the Graphics Processing Unit ( GPU ) of PS Vita was The Graphics were Smooth and Great . The LiveArea UI ( User Interface ) succeeds the XrossMedia Bar its the perfect UI for a PS Vita . Connectivity Options like Wi-Fi , Bluetooth are good . ( 3G + Wi-Fi is also available having Wi-Fi , Bluetooth and 3G But is at a cost of 25,000 INR . The Camera was good To Take Photos and For Games Needing it . The Touchscreen is quite responsive , no side touches , Plus An Addition to The Touchscreen and The Rear Touchpad in Gameplay its more fun . The Speakers were average . It was extremely boring and difficult to hear me the sound if i take it below half . You will need a good set of earphones if your interested in hearing the dialogues of character in games or to listen a song or while watching a movie or video . The Near Feature won't start in India Sooner as many people near you owning a PS Vita can trade with you in game bonuses like treasures , etc . Strong Titles Like Uncharted Golden Abyss , Fifa Football , Asphalt Injection , Everybody`s Golf 6 and Many Others To Come Its great to buy a PS Vita . Few PS3 Titles will also come on PS Vita like Motorstorm RC , etc . Its Worth and Even More than what you pay . Ands its definitely Better Then A PC .
Now Pros and Cons
Pros -
5inch OLED Screen With Great Graphics .
Interactive Gameplay With Touchscreen and Touchpad .
Responsive Touchcreen .
Strong Looks .
Good Camera .
Great Game Titles Like Uncharted Golden Abyss , Fifa Football , Asphalt Injection , Everybody`s Golf 6 , WWE 12 , Wipeout 2048 , etc .
Wi-Fi , Bluetooth Connectivity Options .
Also Expected is that via Remote Play ( for PS3 Owners only ) PS3 titles can be played on a PS Vita at a clarity of same as a PSP .
Cons -
Costly and what you need to buy with it is -
PS Vita - Wi-Fi - 20,000 .
Memory Card - 1599 For 4GB .
2799 - For 8GB .
3999 - For 16GB .
( Playing Most of Games , For Camera and For Demos , To Store Anything on the Vita .
Titles - 1500 to 2799 ( Currently ) And are only available online and in big stores .
Starter Kit - 2000 ( Gives you a Pouch , Scratch Guard , Headphones , Card Holder But not a Memory Card )

Final Verdict and Recommendation - Go For It Before Its Out Of Stock From Flipkart or Dealers .

Best Handheld Console Ever

This is by far the best handheld gaming console ever.....a 5" OLED touchsceen, a quad-core ARM Processor, built-in Wi-Fi with an additional option of 3G and many more features.....what else can you expect from a Sony product.....the only three problems with it are:
a) its whopping price tag (Rs. 19990 for the base Wi-Fi model???? You could buy a Sony PS3 for the same price or less). But obviously the prices are going to reduce and only then the product will become a value for money.

b) lack of games....so far only Uncharted, Mortal Kombat and FIFA are the mainstream titles. An increase in the game titles is necessary to boost the sales.

c) no backward compatibility with PSP titles.....a major drawback, but Sony has got its plans set.

Overall, this is a sure-shot must-have for serious gamers!!!!

Excellent console, not without flaws

I bought a PS Vita and I'm very happy with it. It's the best handheld gaming device bar none. Beware when buying the console though, do NOT buy it on its own! If you're not going to buy it with any games, at least buy a Vita card. It has no internal memory and without a Vita card, it is basically a brick. The cheapest card is 4gb, but get the 16 as games can go upwards of 3gb (Uncharted is 3.2), meaning you want all the space you can get.

Gaming: Superb. It's graphics aren't as good as a PS3, but they are very close. Better than any other mobile gaming platform I've ever seen (I've played on every platform you can think : GBA, Nintendo DS/DSI/3DS, PSP, iOS, Android) the addition of dual analog sticks is godsend, especially if you play FPS games. Battery life could be better, but its forgivable because of the sheer power of the system.

Hardware: The Vita has a quad core cortex A9 chip (which apple used for their A5 chipset, found in the iPad2 and iPhone 4S). The screen has a resolution of 960x544 giving it a ppi of 220, which is less than that of the iPhone (326) but you will be holding this device further away so you won't notice much of a difference. It is a joy to play on, its bright and the colours are vibrant. The touch response is also very good, on par with the iPhone and Galaxy S3. I haven't had a chance to use the Rear touch panel, so I can't say how responsive it is, but I'm pretty sure it's as good as the front screen.

Software: When you first turn on the PS Vita, it will prompt you for an update to the latest version of its OS(2.06 as of my purchase). The UI has changed a lot when compared to its older brother, the PSP which used the XMB (xross media bar) layout. The Vita uses a UI which sony calls LiveArea. It is very polished and much better designed than the older XMB. Switching out of applications and games is extremely fast as well and games can run in the background while you switch between other applications, courtesy of the increased amount of RAM(the PS3 has 256MB, the Vita has 512MB).

Media playback: The Vita is as woefully equipped to play media, as is the case with the PS3 and PSP systems. As far as I know, it has the exact same playback capabilities as the PSP, meaning if you want to play any videos on it, they will have to be converted first.

Verdict: As I said in my first paragraph, the Vita is the best handheld gaming device bar none. It has amazing hardware and its games are almost PS3 level and as developers learn to program for the system, you can be pretty sure that games will be PS3 level in a couple of years. The system is let down by its lack of internal memory, expensive peripherals and media playback capabilities. However, if you are willing to look past that and want the best possible portable gaming experience, the Vita is for you!
