Design and Power
The design of the PlayStation 3 500 GB is testament to the parent brand Sony and their trademark styling, which is known for its aesthetics without compromising on functionality. This is perfectly demonstrated on this PS3 as it is slimmer while still managing to house a larger memory than its predecessor. The trademark flat black façade seen in all the previous models of the PlayStation 3 is continued, with the added availability of a custom PS3 skins.

This HDMI port, with the help of a high speed HDMI is capable of supporting video resolutions of up to 1080p as well as 3D video content.

Controllers and Joysticks
The PS3 500 GB console comes with a motion-sensitive DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller that connects to the console via Bluetooth. This means you no longer will get the wires in a knot nor will you have a set distance limit from the console due to the length of the controller cable. The layout of the controller stays the same as on the previous models with pressure sensitive buttons and the force-feedback that make sure that you feel right in the middle of your game sequence.

Why I chose PS3 over PS4
However what do you gain from PS3 that you won’t get in PS4:
- Its definitely the price tag with the 40K (no-bundle edition), you are shelling almost twice the cost of ps3 price.
Ok consider you’re buying the PS4 for a cheaper price from US then, still what would you not get out of PS4?
- No backward compatibility for PS3 games. All of my fav titles are on PS3 already which are yet to be available on...

Best console to experience for true Gamers !
1) Weight and Size.measures approximately 11.4" × 2.3" × 9" (29 × 6 × 23 cm) at its widest points (25% lesser in size of slim model and size is weighs 2.1 KG). My Score for it is 8/10.

Best Thing Happened To PS3
Pros.
1) Smaller and Lighter than Previous Models.
2) Upgraded to 500GB at same price on which previous 320gb model used to come.
3) Fixed Overheating Issues.
4) 2 Games Free worth Rs.2500 Each.
5) Can Carry in Bag with you wherever u go.
Cons.
1) Sliding tray with Top Load Looks Cheap.
2) Plastic quality is Cheap Compared to Previous Slim Model.
3) No Network LED. Only HDD LED Is There.
4) Move Starter Pack Not Bun...

Super Value for Money - -loving it :-)
Not sure about Xbox as haven't used it, so can't really comment on it - but the reviews say graphics and UI is slightly better in Xbox. The detailed review is neck to neck.

Thinking to buying PS3 500GB or 12GB ?
Secondly i had a thought to buy a 12gb or 500gb PS3. But the price difference was huge, around 6k. But luckily i found an alternative to upgrade the memory.

You can upgrade your PS3 with a 320/500 or even 1 TB hard drive.
But you have to buy a Casing first. A HDD mounting bracket costs around 1k. With this casing any laptop hard drive can be fit into the PS3 ...
