Sony SRF - 18 FM Radio

I always wanted to buy a portable Radio which is pocket sized.Went on to buy this beauty..I'm very Happy with my Purchase
Pros:
1)Light weight,Pocket sized,Very similar to Galaxy Note dimensions except for the thickness.
2)Clean Signal Reception, with stereo out put.
3)We can use this as a Speaker for Apple iPod or any other Music player (Have Audio In feature, A tiny Aux connector is in d Box).
4)Has got a dedicated ear phone socket and An Audio Out for Connecting to external Speakers (Checked the ear phone socket by connecting to external speakers, it didn't work..so there are two seperate channels for Audio out function.
5)Tuner is grippy with nice feel.
6)Telescopic Antenna is of top notch with smooth finish
7)LED Tuning Indicator.
8)We can record The programs by connecting it into a voice recorder through audio out socket.
Cons:
1)For the Price they must have given a Pouch or atleast a Wrist Strap, sadly none in d package (No Probs what so ever).

Final Verdict: A very good Pocket Radio.

Note: This is my personal opinion about the product which has nothing to do with others satisfactions and dissatisfactions as happened with A radio Called "PAGARIA".

I was looking for a radio with sound input and output features for some years. All reputed audio/video shops including SONY India have discontinued selling radios. And I was not knowing how to fulfill my wife's wish to have a good quality table top radio which used to be her companion throughout the day some years ago. While browsing many on line sites, I could find some models from Philips and SONY, though they were looking good but were not meeting my requirement of having input/output provisions. That is the time when I came to know about SONY SRF-18 model last week. After reading the specifications, I didn't waste even a second and placed the order immediately. The product arrived promptly. After the arrival of this radio yesterday evening, all of us in our family including my 90 year old mother are feeling as if there is a new addition to our home. A lovely product from SONY with all features packed in such a small box. The sound quality and FM signal pick-up are really great. More than every thing we are able to use it as an external amplifier/speaker for our Apple ipod, Nokia phones, CD player and even Personal Computer for music. Thanks to Flipkart and SONY.

1. Sound quality is superb with twin speakers creating surround effect.
2. Audio in and audio out features are great, along with 3.5mm headphone port.
3. It can be used as speaker for mobile phones and u can connect external speakers to it too via given connector.
4. Very handy and compact with excellent build quality.
5. Any AA batteries will work. I personally use rechargeable AA batteries with it.

*Lovely design , Big antenna ,buttons switch tuner all are feels good when touched ,
*sound quality AWESOME. speakers are so tiny but sound is very clear and loud ,
May be sony used Xloud technology.
*no power adopter option .only 2 AA batteries powered system .
*i used 3 year old rechargeable batteries 2100 MiMH . it lasts almost 10 days.
* if you used headphone sound quality is very good.
*i am living 40 KM out side of KOLKATA .but it catch radio signal very good .perfectly .other company product can't do it.i have to used a separate wire/cord to get clear signal.but now i dont have to.

i was searching for a good bday for my wife,she loves music and loves to listen old songs from a radio, i decided to gift this cute little thing.
