Sony VAIO SVE11115EN Laptop (APU Dual Core/ 2GB/ 320GB/ Win7 HB)

A STYLISH. PORTABLE, POWERFUL & ECONOMICAL laptop.

+ The display is the best in 11.6" models available out there. Excellent resolution & brightness.

+ Battery life is good, around 6 hours.I think it is better in its class.

+ Keyboard is not too cramped and is comfortable for typing.

+ The AMD Dual Core processor provides excellent kick where ever required. Haven't observed any lag even when heavy multi tasking and is far better than INTEL core i3 processors

+ Radeon graphics processor is also good.

+ Haven't observed heavy heat or anything. The notebook remained cool even when the load is heavy. You can hear the fan noise only when the ambiance is pin drop silent.

+ Weight is an excellent plus point. Improves portability & one can operate comfortably while standing and resting the laptop on one hand's palm.

+ Good driver download support on Sony's website.

+ HDMI output to my LED TV was very good with excellent resolution & crisp display

+ 320GB HDD & 2GB Ram doesn't let you feel needy for more

+ xLOUD sound technology is very much impressive.

+ USB v3.0 , up gradable RAM,USB charging, Bluetooth v4.0 HS and 1.3megapixel camera are much appreciable.

Overall a very good product and value for money.

Pros : Sleek, reasonably light, seems sturdy. Keyboard is fine, no flex, decently spaced keys. Good battery life. Has extra RAM slot, so original 2Gb will not be wasted if you upgrade. I added a 4gb ram for a total of 6Gbytes. With this configuration, enough power to edit a 5 minute HD video (1280x720) comfortably. That is the only application for which i need the "grunt". Win 7x64 shows a 3.9 performance index ( i also replaced the 320gb hdd with a 60gb ssd, put the 320gb disk in an external usb3 enclosure).

Cons : Display is glossy, has very limited vertical viewing angle. I had assumed it was a matte screen as that is what I saw in product photos on ebay (the flipkart photos do not show the screen). Screen does not tilt back more than 120 degrees. Sound volume is fairly muted, not so clear when watching movies.
Product was advertised with a laptop pouch special offer, but no pouch was delivered. Flipkart eventually gave me a Rs500 credit, so bought a redchili 13" laptop backpack with that.

I bought this mainly for the additional RAM slot, usb3, better graphics/cpu than the Rs 20k range nettops and what I assumed would be a quality sony display. Was wrong about the display, but otherwise its a decent product.

I have bought this after a lot of research, and totally satisfied with the performance after using it for about 2 months, the small size is very handy to take it anywhere and use it seemslessly even in travel, It syncs so well with my Xpera Phone and I can keep my mobile charging from the this laptop even when my laptop is switched off, its syncs so well with the PS3 I can use this as another player for playing on my TV. The battery life is something more than 4 hours if you do not play games. Over all totally worth the buy you get so much for what you payed. I strongly recommend it if budget isnt your constraint for a 11inch laptop and you need a high performer for travel and busy day use.

Sleek design, good looks still give a rugged feeling of a work horse at almost half the price. If you job or leisure activity needs top of the line model. You ought to be more than happy in getting 11.6" screen, AMD Dual Core processor and 2 GB RAM. With LAN or Wifi additional three USB ports including 1 USB v3.0 and battery lasting a great deal longer are plus points with excellent sound quality. Actually it is amazing. Ideal for students and executives who are not computer professionals. Cons are low quality in webcam for chatting and no extra accessories for free. Stil it is good value for money.

If you are looking for a display larger than a 10.1" netbook, light weight, portable and a better performance from a laptop but cannot afford an ultarbook, this is the laptop for you.

I upgraded from a 10.1" netbook to this one and I'm loving it!! It is actually slightly lighter than my old netbook and the 11.6" screen is perfect for me. If you do not like those big 15" screens then this is perfect for you. Packs HDMI port(which most netbooks don't), so you can connect to a bigger display( I connect this to my tv ).

Looks sleek, stylish and much better than the 15" Vaio's out there. Please remove all those unnecessary sw sony loads into this if you want a better performance.

Says 6-8 days for delivery but flipkart deivered it the next day. That is not unusual from my previous flipkart experience but I still was surprised! Kudos for the surprise flipkart!
