Sony Walkman NWZ-B163F 4 GB MP3 Player

Most people listen to music on their mobile phones these days due to which players like these will be facing a slow death in due course of time. For me listening to music should be without the disturbance of phone calls. While mobile phones emit harmful radiation, dedicated mp3 players are my choice for listening to music in peace without the phone ringing and the harmful effects of radiation.

This is my second mp3 player from Sony after owning a B143F for the last 2 years - got it from a Sony showroom back then - have got wiser now and chosen flipkart :). My old one is still solid and rocking - the new one is a gift for someone.

Not much has changed since that model other than ergonomics, minor usability differences and better battery though the newer model is slightly larger than the older one.

Sound quality is beyond comparison from what i have heard from other players. I have an Ipod classic as well, but i find myself listening to this one whenever music calls - this is far better than the IPOD classic in terms of sound output. Earphones provided with this player is among the best in class provided by other players.

This is an excellent mp3 player - that you will surely come to love once you own it.

First thing first for Flipkart : Good job guys. Keep up the good work. This is 4-5th time I have used flipkart and I have never been disappointed.

Product is decent.
Whats awesome in it
1) Bass effect
2) FM reception and overall feature
3) Does not require crappy s/w to transfer music from PC.

Whats not that Okay
1)May be I was expecting too much but I have heard better sound quality for sure.
2)Its little bulkier then I though but still portable enough for jogging.

It has got everything that you would need to fulfill your Daily Music Dose..

9.Doesn't Hit Hard to your Pockets...Very Reasonable Price

Cons..

1.Display is Not Good (But Its easy to navigate songs)
2.Sound Quality is around perfect but Not Perfect..

Conclusion..

Overall if you want a MP3 Player with lots of Features nd a Superb Brand Name(Nd You still want some money left for your Gf/BF....)then go for it Guyzzz..

This was my very first order from flipkart: about 2 years ago. I didn't have much understanding of music back then but i knew that i was crazy about bass. And this player has not disappointed me :D . I've tried it with lots and lots of earphones and headphones and it has given optimum performance with each piece! . Its a must have for bass lovers, who do not want to spend a lot of money, let me tell you, its truly a grab.
Its compact, USB charged ( that feature is pretty neat!!) and the best part is the battery life. Even after two years of usage i get around 3-4 hours battery life at full volume and maximum bass. Another awesome feature is the time it takes to get fully charged, is just about 15-20 minutes , no kidding!! . I've bought a lot of stuff from flipkart, but this is truly my favorite. Great job flipkart!!
One problem is that the player may get stuck with prolonged use. don't panic in that case, just use the reset button provided. the hole of the reset button is pretty small so you'll need a safety pin to get through. I don't see any other problems. just for the record, this player goes great with JBL tempo headphones. Bottomline, one of best mp3 players around - in terms of price, value for money, battery life, quality ,bass, ease of use, and extended usage. if you are reading this review, and are willing to spend a FEW extra bucks than usual, go for it! you won't need another player or even your phone to listen to music for more than 2-3 years!!!

While am writing this review, the product is in transit. My father will get his gift soon. A month before he asked me for a player with his rigid criteria(for which i cannot even negotiate :)) such as compact, track search and display, FM, clear sound not loud and above all recording feature. I got confused as the first gadget came to my mind was ipod shuffle or nano but it doesn't have all of these features.

But thanks to FK provided comaprison tool, helped me a lot to decide. I choose Sony NWZ-B163F and later on went to store to get the real feel and how compatible it can get with my father.

I am in Delhi, ordered it yesterday through FK and to be delivered to Jaipur today as it is showing 'out for delivery'. I will get you more inputs from him and share with you.
