The Sony Walkman NWZ-W252 is water resistant so you do not have to worry about short circuiting it when you are sweating all over it during workouts. The ear-loop design and the inward stressed neckband ensure that the Walkman stays in position even during vigorous movement like running and aerobics.
Design
The NWZ-W252 sports a neckband form factor with angled ear buds for maximum sound isolation. The physical buttons in the NWZ-W52 Walkman include a shuffle switch to randomize your tracks, a volume rocker and a jog dial to cycle through tracks and to play/pause music. An indicator light in the top of the player will show when the player is charging.
Sony has incorporated an innovative magnetic sensor switch in the NWZ-252 for automatically turning off the device. When you are done using the gadget, simply bring the two earbuds together and they will be joined at the ends by a magnet. A sensor will then automatically turn off the device; preventing any chance of accidently leaving the player on and draining the battery. If you feel like packing it away, then use the included storage clip to hold the player in the closed position.
Battery and Storage
The Sony Walkman is powered by Lithium-Ion battery that requires 90 minutes for a full recharge. However, if you are in a rush, the Quick Charging Technology allows you to charge the Walkman for 3 minutes for 90 min of uninterrupted music. The 11 hours of continuous playback renders the W252 perfect for long workout durations without having to worry about draining out the battery. The 2 GB memory of the device can store up to 470 songs (approx.).
Functions
The Walkman NWZ-W252 ships with premium EX range buds featuring a powerful 13.5 mm driver for high-fidelity treble and powerful bass delivery. This Sony Walkman player features a ZAP button which gives a 5-10 second preview of the next song to quickly browse through your playlist. The Drag-and-Drop transfer means you do not have to deal with separate music management software. The NWZ-W252 can play back MP3, AAC (unprotected only) and WMA (subscription included) files.

DON'T EVER BUY THIS ITEM
Hello everyone, I'm not saying its a bad product but those who love music, i would like to suggest them not to buy this Walkman ever. It has a poor bass quality, Doesn't fit tight on ears (70%), and after listening to music for 1-2 hours ears starts aching and its too heavy for ear to hold it. And for your kind information let me tell you its not really water proof. It can take only 1 2 rain drops.
About style its nice, if you are thinking to gift a girl then this is a perfect option, but if this is your first Walkman and going to use it then you should not buy it.
over all its ok. Clear sound quality with poor bass.

Trust Me : If you charge for 1 hour : you can go for 12 hours non-stop music . Excellent.
-Ve: Ears start itching or you feel a kind of pain in your after listening for say 1 hour or above ( This can be avoided if you hear it with less Volume ).
If you have a small head, it wont quiet fit, if those who have small heads can go for other series of UNWIRED. which is bit compact then this.

So i thought of getting this ..so bought NWZ-262 (New unwired by sony)trust me this new one is a crap..it does't fit u r ears jumps out, need to tie a cloth around it .
So came back to old one gave the new one to my friends..
Truly speaking best in the segment of Mp3 players.No product can be compared with this.
