Yes, i am an ericsson fan and i have had 3 walkman phones before the sola.
The fone that i had before the sola was w995.
Got this phone 6 hrs ago (yup! once again flipkart didnt fail to astonish me ).
Charged it for 5 hrs to condition the battery.
LOOKS : better than what it looks in the picture. the rear is a rubberish type so scratches can be avoided...

Touch:Yup,the floating touch lives upto its expections.
Speed: Dual core CPU,IT IS LIGHTNING FAST!!!Tried a few challenging apps and game...

The phone is really good,the display is bright and vivid,sound is also good.
Camera is not something ground breaking,but still good.
Sound is also loud enough.
But the battery is a bit disappointing,discharges very fast,you can enable extended standby mode(only available in ICS) to save battery.
Phone runs smooth in Gingerbread,but lags in Ice Cream Sandwich,512MB RAM is not enough and sadly wont get Jelly Bean update.
Games also runs fine.
I wish this phone had 1GB RAM and front camera.

Using it for a week now & quite satisfied with it. This phone has a premium feel to it. The display is of far better quality than those with more catchy names. Its fast, has amazing audio & video playing qualities, haven't played a game though. Floating touch doesn't work too well for me but social networking is just awesome.The headphones packed in belt out sound like a dream. Download a good video player like MX and feel the difference while watching movies.Battery works very well provided...

I have been using this phone for the past week or so. When I review a phone I look at the usability, its performance and efficiency along with music quality. Here are the things I found out while using this phone

Performance - For a mid range smartphone, this phone works pretty well. The animations are snappy and there is hardly any lag ever. Response time in starting applications and application performance is also quite good.

phone is good in all aspects but i strongly advice people who are about buy this to kindly wait for some time!! it has a software issue for network reception which is being taken care by sony and it is about to release the update soon.. so please wait till then.. and for those who already had taken the cell.. manufactrer (SONY) may seem not so good as the phone!!!!

The Glove mode on Xperia Sola makes it a class apart in similar range smartphones. You actually use your phone without touching the screen!!! the floating touch while browsing internet is damm cool. The ICS update has added more feather to its hat..
Cons:
1. Sound output is not very loud. Fine for music lovers like me who like to enjoy songs and not annoy others.
2. Camera is kinda average for indoor clicks; but astonishing in outdoors.

Got Xperia Sola from flipkart. Delivery was good and prompt as always .
The phone is comfortable to use and has a nice feel in the hand .
The screen is small enough to carry and large enough for viewing movies comfortably.
Sound with earphones is great and on loud speaker is ok .
Battery is a big upsetter, since it uses about 1% battery per minute , which means i can't watch a whole movie on battery without risking critical battery level while travelling.
Camera gives nice shots :)

Really the UI,touch experience,design(even though it's more plasty) make this phone to be identified uniquely among other android phones crowd.The touch experience will make you to do always something like simply navigating the apps more frequently.

but, all these bells and whistles are thwarted down by battery, the battery capacity is highly unsuitable for 3G network. with some moderate browsing also this device can't stay up for more than one day(let alone leave the gaming). This promblem ...
