I have used Samsung Galaxy S, S Duos and S advance...and my friends have Grand Duos, S3 and Nexus...So I have a fair idea about all these models as well...

Nothing much difference between Z & ZR

Pros of Z over ZR.
1.ZR's Display is smaller than Z's 5inch.
2.But Z had 442ppi but ZR had only 319ppi.
3.Z had 1920 x 1080 but ZR had 720 x 1280 resolution
4.2MP front facing but ZR had 0.3MP.
5.16GB internal memory than ZR's 8GB.
6.Difference of 30 mah in battery which Z claims.

Pros of ZR over Z
1.Ideal display size than mighty 5'..wonder how people are using plastic mega's which look monstrous while taking with someone.
2.IP55/58 than IP55/56 of Z'...

Hello friends i will not be happy to write this review.....I brot sony xperia ZR with a price of 18490. I had ordered this phone on 18th aug and it got delivered to me on 20th august..fast by flipkart.
I updated my android to kitkat and the battery backup was not bad but when i was using the software updator app also the phone started getting warm a bit so i ignored it thinking that may be downloading updates and installing makes it a bit warm. So then i installed preety small games like subw...

I bought it last week used as is for two days it was good upgraded to kitkat 4.4.4 now its awesome phone for this price, very nice product overall.
As many have said it heats up if you watch even couple of songs on full brightness,use 3G for more than 10 minutes,etc
another thing i noticed was that its flash is not as bright as xperia u which I had (compared it side to side) which has its own advantages and disadvantages, front cam should have been better (only drawback hardware wise)

I opted for Sony cuz I was looking for a good cam and good music player that comes packagd in a feel-good UI, all fitting in a neat budget - dats all. Sony Xperia ZR was a choice well-made to comply with all that, I'd say. I did a lotta research on Moto X, other Sony phones, Asus Zenfone, Moto G.

This is a wonderful phone with specs almost the same as Nexus 4 but with additional features like water resistance, removable battery.

Right now, ZL is available for the same price!

ZL has a better screen(full HD) and 16 GB internal storage which is quite important.

Is that Exactly Water Proof ?

Not Exactly, Sony says its a Water Proof phone, but the parts are not Water Proof..it has openable back, and removable battery.
they mean to say the water doesnot go in to mobile parts if u close all the doors (Audio jack input, Charging pin input)..any way its very good than other mobiles which becomes dead for a spoon of water

I have been using this phone for a month and prior to that had a Galaxy S2. Its a good phone, cant go wrong with it unless you are looking for Galaxy S4 or Lumia 1020 like rear camera quality.
