Synopsis and Features
Sorcery begins with the Nightmare Queen breaking an ancient pact with mankind and threatens to cover the land in eternal darkness. You start out as Finn, a young apprentice to a sorcerer and it is up to you to master the arcane arts and perfect your spell casting skills. On your journey to stop the evil Nightmare Queen you will encounter foul creatures, solve ingenious puzzles, learn new powerful spells and brew strange potions using alchemy. You also discover and collect various magical items to help you with your noble quest.
You have over eight spells that you can use in various combinations to effectively deal damage to your opponents. Together with your faithful companion, the magical cat Erline, you must traverse the dark Faerie Kingdoms, fight the Nightmare Queen's foul minions in order to push back the darkness that has enshrouded the land. The world is based on Irish mythology and has a quaint charm to it. Finn's magical prowess improves when he learns 5 elemental spells namely Earth, Ice, Fire, Wind and Lighting in addition to his standard Arcane Bolt attack. He also has a Telekinesis spell that helps him move objects at a distance with the power of his mind.
Finn must journey through five unique realms and each of them comes with unique enemies and challenges that must be dealt with differently. Battle terrifying Banshees and the Restless Dead in the Kingdom of the dead, defeat vicious bogies on the endless stairs, brave the Faerie forest and free the Faerie King, Lord Fey from the Slumbering Palace. As you transform from a fledgling apprentice into a master wizard you will also learn to combine spells that allow you to conjure up storms, transform into magical creatures and unleash walls of living fire.
Sorcery is an exciting addition to the Playstation Move motion controller software line-up and the Move motion controller acts as your magic wand. This single player game lets you gesture and cast spells which you can also combine to create combination spells like a whirlwind of fire, blast frozen goblins with arcane bolt to shatter them or electrocute them with lightning called down from the heavens. Use magic potions to change into animals like a rat in order to access previously inaccessible areas.
Sorcery supports 1080i resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 480p, 720p and Dolby Digital which adds up to a stellar gaming experience. Get closer to the action as you wave your magic wand to smite evildoers with the growing arsenal of magic spells at your disposal. Sorcery immerses players into a unique fantasy story like never before and the epic journey through the broken world will only strengthen your will to spread light in a world shrouded in darkness and evil.
A minimum distance of 6 ft is required between the gamer and PS3 console camera for smooth game play. Try to place the gaming console in a living room or the main hall to provide freedom for your hand to move freely. Ensure that the room has proper and even lighting; this helps the camera to capture your every moment and give you a seamless and entertaining gaming experience

The Best Move Game1)Okay let me first say that Sports Champions is still the better move game but Sorcery is best otherwise.

InterestingI loved the graphics and game play, and the moves are not complex. This requires both motion control (dual shock) and Move,in my case I ended handling both controls in both hands, though its not difficult.

Thanks Santa MonicaAt last I could use my motion controller for casting spells, killing enemies thanks to sorcery. This game is being developed by santa monica studio which developed the famous God of Wars series. Although the game is not like the GOW story or graphics but as least a positive step in the right direction. Casting spells and making and drinking health potions with motion controller gives a comfortable feeling. And then killing enemies with the wand makes me feel as I am Harry potter. Good work Santa Monica. Keep it up and bring GOW Ascension with motion controller features. What a game that would … (Expand)
