South of Salsette is a story about all of us. Through a group of four couples who have been friends for years, this book is about something that each of us needs but sometimes takes for granted - friendship.
From four different cultures, this group of friends has stayed together for decades, yet it is the smaller things that threaten to pull them apart. With Mumbai as the backdrop, this is a story of situations faced everyday, of pride getting in the way and of finally figuring out exactly what it is that you value most. South of Salsette will resonate with everyone who has ever had friends that have become closer than family.
Set in South Mumbai, the book explores the nuances of this layered society along with the finer details that make Mumbai the city it is.
From walks on Marine drive to Bar Nites at the Bombay Gymkhana, the book paints life in Mumbai in vibrant and real colors.
