Speedy Singhs is quite predictable - from the dreams of the boy coming true to his falling in love with a foreigner and his father finally acceding to his son's wishes at last. It also casts Rob Lowe as a coach that had failed earlier, but is trying to prove himself with a second chance given to him. However, it does not look like that from the conversations that describe the team's coach in the movie, "Yeh to cleaner lag raha hai." The dubbed version makes it look even more amusing, when the Canadians are speaking in Hindi. The film is clearly about the winning of the Indian underdogs and this becomes evident from somewhere in between the movie and also from the title of the movie. However, I really liked the way they portrayed the typical Punjabi culture, weddings, etc. and Akshay Kumar appearing in one scene to show the importance of the "pagdi" in the Punjabi culture. Overall, it was fun to watch this movie.
This is not a poor movie, but they're selling the dubbed version in India, which is worse than a 0 star rating. The dubbing is poor, and the dialogues lack depth.
Dont buy the hindi version is all i can say
