What is the estimated delivery time?
Estimated delivery time depends on the following factors:
It is possible that the Seller or our courier partners observe a holiday between the day you placed your order and the date of delivery, which is based on the timelines shown on the product page. In this case, we add a day to the estimated date. Some courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sundays and this is factored in to the delivery dates.
For items listed as "In Stock", Sellers will mention the delivery time based on your location pincode (usually 2-3 business days, 4-5 business days or 4-6 business days in areas where standard courier service is available). For other areas, orders will be sent by Registered Post through the Indian Postal Service which may take 1-2 weeks depending on the location.
The Seller might not have the item in stock but can procure it when an order is placed. The delivery time will depend on the estimated procurement time and the estimated shipping time to your location.
'Preorder' or 'Forthcoming'
Such items are expected to be released soon and can be pre-booked for you. The item will be shipped to you on the day of it's official release launch and will reach you in 2 to 6 business days. The Preorder duration varies from item to item. Once known, release time and date is mentioned. (Eg. 5th May, August 3rd week)
'Out of Stock'
Currently, the item is not available for sale. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know once it is available for purchase.
Sometimes, items have to be sourced by Sellers from outside India. These items are mentioned as 'Imported' on the product page and can take at least 10 days or more to be delivered to you.
'Back In Stock Soon'
The item is popular and is sold out. You can however 'book' an order for the product and it will be shipped according to the timelines mentioned by the Seller.
The product is currently out of stock and is not available for purchase. The product could to be in stock soon. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know when it is available for purchase.
This product is no longer available because it is obsolete and/or its production has been discontinued.
'Out of Print'
This product is not available because it is no longer published and has been permanently discontinued.
You have probably noticed varying estimated delivery times for Sellers of the product you are interested in. Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time-to-deliver to your location.
Please enter your default pin code on the product page (you don't have to enter it every single time) to know more accurate delivery times on the product page itself.

Battery life is quite acceptable.
It lasted for about 1.5 days with extensive messaging, about 0.5 hours of talk and more than an hour of wifi/bt/gps. Wifi drinks a lot of juice.
Charging the phone from 0 to 100% happens in about an hour.
The battery meter hanged quite a long time at 10% (about >4 hours or so below 10% before it drained off completely)
Call quality is good like any other good reputed phone. Never had any complaints from the other end of the line.
Headset music quality was much better than I expected. Good speaker volume, but might hear a slight noise when kept in full volume.
The 2MP Camera delivers what a 2MP does. It does recognises barcodes and QR codes without problems.
The speed of the phone is satisfactory for this price range. It never showed any major lag.
The only scenario where I felt some lag was at the Market, when I had about 3 apps simultaneously downloading and installing.
The default Contacts mgr doesnt have Groups. Downloaded GangBookGroup Mgr for that.
Rooted the phone using Z4ROOT and it worked like a charm. For some reason Temporary Root did not work.
But permanent root worked.
The default Messaging app isn't that attractive and lacked some features. GoSMS app solved that issue and it also displays from which SIM (1 or 2) the message is sent/received. The call log also has the similar feature.
Typical resistive touch and I'm loving it. You will never need a stylus. Scrolling along menus is smooth, but not as smooth as you might see in HTC or any other.
Almost all apps that I downloaded worked well. Did not try any games though.
1) Cheapest branded dual sim(GSM GSM) Android phone in the market. Bought its for Rs.5099 (US$110) from Letsbuy.com
2) Android 2.2 (Froyo)
3) Good looks. Matt covers.
1) No flash light with the 2MP Camera, which isn't up to the mark.
2) Less than par battery life.
3) Screen could've been better. Little white fonts show a slight tinge of grey with it.
4) NO 3G. Well, thats too much to expect!
Overall a great phone, with most of its greatness from the power of Android.
I'd surely give it a 4/5 for the features that it offers for this price range.
Within 48 hours I got this phone after ordering. That's FlipKart!
I've using the phone since quite a while. Some note:
1. Can be used as modem to computer/laptop. Although i used it in Ununtu/Linux. I don't know how to do it in Windows because no PC suite is there in the provided disk(it only contains usb driver).
2. USB Charging.
3. Support multitasking, Android market and all other ANDROID stuff.
4. All downloaded apps works.
5. GOOD LOOKS. GOOD PRICE.
6. Wi Fi connection works like a Charm.
7. Threaded view of sms.
8. Push mail.
9. Pre-installed facebook, youtube, GoogleTalk, Yahoo Messanger, Nimbuzz and many more.
10. Maps, GPS navigation works well.
11. Streams video from youtube, rtsp links etc, with no settings by user. That's good.
12. Stylus is there.
13. Notification LED lights for new sms and email etc.
14. 214 MB internal storage. 190.56 MB RAM.
1. Can't connect internet in the computer through BLUETOOTH. Only usb.
2. Camera is like 1.3 megapixel.
3. Photo browsing is slow by default photo viewer app. Video is faster. Perhaps one need to install other image browser app.
4. Touch is resistive not capacitive but for 3.5k that is good.
5. No sd card in the package.
6. The phone is slow but enough.
7. No PC suite for this in provided CD. However in Ubuntu/Linux no PC suite required.
8. The sound quality is great but not with provided earphones.
9. Opening the back cover to take out the battery is a little tricky and cumbersome.
10. The hardware buttons are some hard. but will do.
Hey.. Was very curious abt this phone so finally caught a running handset...
This phone has 2.8" resistive touchscreen so no multi touch..
It has 600 MHz processor, same has micromax andro a60 or galaxy 5..
It can play angry birds very well but not asphalt as it requires min 667 mhz and a gaphic chip...
Its a very good phone in this price segment..
when i was at spice hotspot planning to change my old handset, i tried this cellphone and did little hands on.
I do not think it can run any application smoothly.
There was no application installed externally and had only pre-installed applications but still it was too laggy.
If i would have to buy any cheap android phone, this won't be my choice and i do not recommend this handset.
Rest is upto you.
The Main reason I purchased this Mobile was because I use Dual Sim Phones and was in need of a Dual Sim Touch Screen Android Mobile.
I purchased this Mobile 2 weeks back and frankly am disappointed because if I had waited another week , I could have got Spice MI350 which is dual sim , has 3.5 Inch Screen and most important has 3G and Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. First things first , Screen resolution and clarity is good , on a normal 2g sim card , you will get speeds of around 50-85 kbps and 150-180 kbps max. Internet Surfing is quite good and only problem is when you access you tube , it takes a long time to stream the full video. Facebook also takes time and hangs and you have to reload the page again. Android Market apps downloading is quick and does not take much time. Camera Clarity not that great. Video resolution is pretty good with decent volume and sound effect and excellent Clarity. Cons are that the phone sometimes has a tendency to hang and call neither gets connected nor gets cut which is a headache.
Overall my rating is 3 out of 5.
Ordered this phone from flipkart and reached within `the specified time...Really fast and amazing delivery by flipkart.Coming to the phone; the Spice Mi- 270 comes bundled with Android 2.2 OS (FROYO.II also has a built in GPS for navigation purposes, an e-compass, wifi, GPRS (EDGE) only.Doesn't support 3G.It does have a notification LED which can emit Red, Green and blue lights.I have customized the LED with a minor tool app from android market.Screen is a bit laggy coz of its resistive nature. It also has a stylus for tOuch input.Phone exterior is plastic and the phone doesn't feel much solid in hand. The metallic coating on its sides makes it a bit slippery.Call sound quality is excellent...Standard headphones that are provided with this phone aren't really good. But shelling out some extra cost and purchasing some good quality earphones is certainly not going to disappoint you..The phone also has an audio equalizer setting which enhances the sound to a considerable extent.Battery backup is nice (BETTER THAN MY SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE). Applications on this phone can be installed on the SD CARD.Also retains n/w in poor signal areas...OVERALL IT IS A NICE PHONE TO PURCHASE AND BELIEVE ME, ITZ A GREAT DEAL..I PURCHASED 3 PIECES OF THIS GADGET RECENTLY.
Have been using this for 4 months now. I would say it is what we can expect in this price range.
First i will talk about the software. Android and its features are really god, with all the apps from android market. It has apps for almost everything. I use apps for reminders, takin notes, sketching, expense managing, facebook, maps, pdf viewing, office document viewing, comic books, chess, sudoku etc. The sync option native to android is really great. Makes sure all your contacts, calendar events, reminders etc. are safe in ur gmail account. This makes it convenient to sync with other calendars in a variety of devices. It has a kind of push email also. Dual sim management is also good. Dual standby makes sure u can receive calls and msgs in any of the sims anytime except when u r in a call in one of the sims. at that time the person who calls to the other sim will get a "switched off" msg. that's not a big issue though. you can use gprs in either of the sims. you can specify which sim to use by default.
Now the hardware part. As expected from any low end, cheap phone. Its totally disappointing. The screen is not very responsive. Lags a lot. Battery is below average, drains very fast. Wen the gprs, gps, wifi etc are all switched OFF and make NO calls or msgs, the battery will stay for a maximum of 3 days. for regular use WITHOUT gprs, gps, wifi etc. the battery will stay for 35-40 hours max. I plug the phone to a charger whenever i want to use the gprs or sync with the google server because that drains the batter like hell. The GPS system is VERY slow. GPRS too is very slow. Opening the images gallery takes an eternity. Camera quality is very poor. and quite different from the images shown the phone looks total crap, especially the white one with the BIG BLACK "S" printed on the back(which i have :( ) Sound quality is very poor. Music with headphones is good, but in call sound quality with both the speakers and the headfons are poor, so i guess its partially because of the low signal capacity of the antennas. Facebook app keeps hanging and crashing because of the very low RAM, and same thing happens for the maps app too. Phone lags and stutters a lot probably cause of the low quality processor and ram. Eventhough the numbers are 600mhz and 256mb, the quality matters as it is evident from this case.
So for a beginner who just wanna show off a touch screen android dual sim phone, u can buy this. But dont expect to use the more advanced stuff like gps, push email or video playback etc. Thos who want a real smartphone, you will have to spend atleast 7k and NEVER EVER go for cheap china companies like this. If you want smartphones, buy NOKIA, SAMSUNG, HTC, APPLE ETC. they are worth the money
I did had a problem while entering my 8 gb kingston sdcard in a badly built memory card slot, but after some wrestling I was able to get it working.
The spice bootloader and bloatware is BS, but you can remove that by rooting it with Z4ROOT and then installing titanium backup from the market.
The 2.8 inch resistive screen will slow you down if you are a fast typer, but I recommend you download Ice cream sandwich keyboard and use google's amazing speech recognition program.
The wifi connectivity is BAD! It starts disconnecting if I move 2 meters away from the hub! If you are using airtel then you will get an error that your phone doesn't support GPRS.
for that :-
Open Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.
then create a new Access Point Name and put in the following details exactly:
APN: airtelgprs com
APN Type: Internet
Save it, enable it, restart phone.
Oh and the headphone that comes with it DOES NOT WORK! So try your luck with other headphones.
This phone already contains a lot of reviews so I am not going to elaborate already discussed contents. I'll only discuss of a problem which is yet not mentioned and that is it's GPS problem. The gpx file this phone generates logs time 11 hours back. I used My Tracks (by google) to track my route and another similar software GPS Essentials and both the cases the result became same. The gpx file logs the time 11 hours back. This is it's internal problem. After a lot of research it is seemed that the internal clock is set to IST Zone (+5:30) which should have been set to GMT. As the internal clock is already set to IST it is already ahead by 5:30 hours. Again, the Time stamp it follows is IST which is again 5:30 hours ahead. Both these settings are set as datum. Which should have been GMT (Time Zone) and 0:00 (Time). If it were set to that, the internal clock could follow the date and time accurately.
So, if anybody like to use it as a gps which will generate a accurate gpx file, it will sadly not do so. I have already wrote it to Spice team of that fault and waiting for a firmware update but I am still waiting.
Other than that not much problem except it hangs sometime and uses huge battery and need to recharge frequently. Though both of these problems already discussed. Besides, I don't find out any major flaw. It is a cheap phone and worth a test if you like to take the taste of android for the first time.
Flipkart service? Again it is awesome. My first phone set was a damaged one and flipkart replaced it very quickly. Thank you flipkart.
This phone is good enough to be a replacement for the entry level nokia/samsung phones.
Although it is running the android OS, be careful not to overload the resources (memory, cpu etc) else it becomes slow, which is to be expected.
This phone is being advertised as having a mediatek 600 MHz processor, which it not true. It has got only a 207 MHz processor.
This is reason enough for me to return the phone, but I have kept it because of the following reasons:
1. It is a secondary phone, to be used with my other sim cards, so I won't be overloading it with games etc. Dual sim is a plus point
2. Since it is android, there is no SMS storage limit. In other phones in this price range, you have to keep deleting SMSs in order to receive new ones.
3. It can easily be rooted using z4root.
Flipkart should make sure that the correct specification of the phone is being displayed on their site. 207 MHz and 600 MHz makes a huge difference.
this is the full games review of the the spice mi 270
This phone is not worth buying. It is an affordable android phone, but it doesn't synchronize with Google Play. Also the phone...Read More
