I gave it four stars because she knew Stanislavski and kept it to a system as opposed to the later method. The system is timeless and ageless. The Method is of a period. Although I gave this work 4 stars, I do believe it is best to go back to Stanislavski and his seminal work The Actor Prepares.

Interesting book about effective techniques in acting written by the most famous director from Russia.
"Love the art in yourself, not yourself in the art."
Brilliant training for the actor
Though it is arguable Moore's take on Stanislavski is more akin to the initial interpretations made by the American movement we now call Method, than what, come the end of his life, Stanislavki's felt was at the core of his teachings, there are many exercises here that will prove helpful to the young actor. Especially those involving "zone of silence" scene situations.
