Space is the final frontier and Star Trek chronicles the voyages of the U.S.S Enterprise whose mission is to explore strange new worlds and to boldly go where no one has gone before. Star Trek is one of the most famous science-fiction franchises with millions of fans the world over. The 2009 movie Star Trek was a reboot of the original series and this exciting game continues with the characters of the movie on another adventure. Star Trek is a science-fiction action-adventure game that takes us aboard the U.S.S Enterprise as it travels through space rescuing and helping those in need.

The leading actors from the 2009 Star Trek movie lend their likeness and voices for this game. Notable names are Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto who reprise the roles for Captain Kirk and Spock respectively. This third person shooting game is developed for the Xbox 360 by Digital Extremes and co-published by Paramount Pictures and Namco Bandai Games. Star Trek, the game features an all new story written by the talented Marianne Krawczyk who also wrote the story for notable games such as God of War and Shank. This game has an ESRB rating of T which stands for teens and above as the game may contain animated blood, strong language and realistic violence.

Synopsis and Features

The New Vulcan colony is under attack by a ruthless alien race known as the Gron who plan to drain all resources after killing all the inhabitants. Captain Kirk and Spock have to get to New Vulcan and then figure out how to stop the invasion. Control the U.S.S Enterprise from the bridge or explore other parts of the ship like the engine room and the transporter room. Explore the universe and find exotic planets and remote space stations on the way to your mission at New Vulcan. The 2009 Star Trek movie and this video game were designed to introduce a new generation to the Star Trek universe.

Play the single player campaign as either Kirk or Spock depending on your style of attack. Captain Kirk is known for jumping in head-first in any situation, while Spock is calm and calculated. Their weapons reflect their style of fighting with Kirk carrying a phaser gun that is equipped with a stun setting. Spock on the other hand, is armed with a weapon that is capable of freezing enemy units quietly without attracting attention. Spock is also able to use the Vulcan Nerve Pinch and mind meld during the course of the game. As you progress and gain experience, you will unlock upgrades that will greatly improve your weapon. In multiplayer mode your friends can drop in on your game and help you complete a tough mission.
