Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Stranded on the desert planet Tatooine after rescuing young Queen Amidala from the impending invasion of Naboo, Jedi apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Jedi Master discover nine-year-old Anakin Skywalker, a young slave unusually strong in the Force. Anakin wins a thrilling Podrace and with it his freedom as he leaves his home to be trained as a Jedi. The heroes return to Naboo where Anakin and the Queen face massive invasion forces while the two Jedi contend with a deadly foe named Darth Maul. Only then do they realize the invasion is merely the first step in a sinister scheme by the re-emergent forces of darkness known as the Sith.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

Ten years after the events of the Battle of Naboo, not only has the galaxy undergone significant change, but so have Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padm Amidala, and Anakin Skywalker as they are thrown together again for the first time since the Trade Federation invasion of Naboo. Anakin has grown into the accomplished Jedi apprentice of Obi-Wan, who himself has transitioned from student to teacher. The two Jedi are assigned to protect Padm whose life is threatened by a faction of political separatists. As relationships form and powerful forces collide, these heroes face choices that will impact not only their own fates, but the destiny of the Republic.

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Three years after the onset of the Clone Wars, the noble Jedi Knights have been leading a massive clone army into a galaxy-wide battle against the Separatists. When the sinister Sith unveil a thousand-year-old plot to rule the galaxy, the Republic crumbles and from its ashes rises the evil Galactic Empire. Jedi hero Anakin Skywalker is seduced by the dark side of the Force to become the Emperor's new apprentice--Darth Vader. The Jedi are decimated, as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Master Yoda are forced into hiding. The only hope for the galaxy are Anakin's own offspring.

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

Nineteen years after the formation of the Empire, Luke Skywalker is thrust into the struggle of the Rebel Alliance when he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi, who has lived for years in seclusion on the desert planet of Tatooine. Obi-Wan begins Luke's Jedi training as Luke joins him on a daring mission to rescue the beautiful Rebel leader Princess Leia from the clutches of the evil Empire.

Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

Luke Skywalker and his friends have set up a new base on the ice planet of Hoth, but it is not long before their secret location is discovered by the evil Empire. After narrowly escaping, Luke splits off from his friends to seek out a Jedi Master called Yoda. Meanwhile, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, and C-3PO seek sanctuary at a city in the Clouds run by Lando Calrissian, an old friend of Hans. But little do they realize that Darth Vader already awaits them.

Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

In the epic conclusion of the saga, the Empire prepares to crush the Rebellion with a more powerful Death Star while the Rebel fleet mounts a massive attack on the space station. Luke Skywalker confronts Darth Vader in a final climactic duel before the evil Emperor.

May the Force be with you, forever!!!

The Movies - Star Wars saga is widely regarded as one of the greatest movie series of all time. Although all the movies in the series are entertaining, its the original series which has the maximum repeat value. Featuring extraordinary special effects and a brilliant mythology, these are must watch for any movie buff. And for maximum enjoyment, it is advisable to watch Episodes 4-6, before 1-3. And eventhough George Lucas has tweaked the movies over the years, they still remain enjoyable because of the powerful storyline.

Video and Audio - The video quality is good throughout the series, with the Episodes 3,4,5 and 6 looking better. But is certainly a huge improvement over the DVD's.

The The DTS-HD Master Audio 6.1 throughout the series is awesome and better than the video. It is truely demo-material. The sound effects of lightsabers, spaceships and the explosions sound brilliant.

Extras - Including 3 Blurays devoted to extras and the audio commentaries on all the movies, there are hours of extras. The 1st bonus bluray is devoted to Episodes 1-3 and the 2nd to Episodes 4-6, and they contain deleted scenes, interviews, galleries, archieves and much more. The 3rd bluray has 9 documentaries on the series including 1 documentary on the spoofs and refrences to Star Wars series in various TV shows, movies and commercials.

Overall - Its truely a must buy. I truely enjoyed watching the series in High Definition. But its quite expensive for 6999, Fox India should consider before pricing their blurays in India. But we're lucky to have flipkart.com, which offers discounts on MRP. I hope it soon stars proving bigger discounts during festive seasons like the other international sellers.

Own the STAR WARS universe!

The wait is finally over and the final star wars saga is out.
Even if you are not a Star Wars fan, this 9 disc set will certainly magnetise hi def lovers. All of these great discs not only feature awe inspiring visuals but also deliver 6.1 channel pure digital sound, enveloping us into an mesmerising Star Wars experience we had never imagined.
The bonus 3 discs include never before seen brand new documentaries plus exciting interactivity.
The visuals are refurbished with state-of-the-art HD technology that now the intricate designs of the death star are visible, the puppets in the prequels look more like living creatures, the spacecrafts look more modeled and many things which look new to us.
Sound is as extravagant as ever. The pod race sequence in Episode I is truly enjoyable and can be used as pure reference material.
If you are looking forward for a great movie experience this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED stuff.

The force is strong with this one!

This is a must have for Star Wars fans. Excellent audio and video quality. The best Blu Ray menu system ever. And the movie are undoubtedly super awesome.

The only complaint I have is with the disk jackets. They are stacked up in one big cover which goes into another cardboard cover. This is super annoying. I would have preferred to have separate disk cases for each disk. They are far easier to handle. But the casing is same worldwide, so one cannot really help it.

The price on flipkart is probably the cheapest anywhere in India.

Excellent

Have been a fan of the series right since the day I saw SW. Highly recommended for all hard-core SW fans. Its a collector's edition.
There are no area code issues in the Blu-Rays....although they take some time to start playing in my Blu-Ray player. The sound and picture quality are incomparable.
Delivery was prompt as usual.

Best entertainer ever

I am new to the Star Wars world & I was totally impressed
with the outcome. The movies looks gorgeous. I would recommend
to new comers, I was warned that the prequels(Episode 1 to 3) is bad. But I loved all six movies equally. The perfect way to watch
the movies is by starting from episode 4 - 6 & come to 1 - 3. Best sci-fi entertainer ever.
