Summary of the Book

In this historical romance, the protagonist Leelavati is a beautiful and intelligent young lady who is born under the curse of Mars. She is the daughter of the renowned astronomer Bhaskarya Acharya and she knows she can never get married. It was only when her playmate from childhood, Rahul Nagarseth returns from the sea, she finds herself uncontrollably attracted towards him. They fall in love and certain alignment of the planets can help Leelavati overcome the curse. Just then Rahul has to go away to fight a war to defend his kingdom against the Muhammad of Ghor. Will Leelavati be able to rid herself of the curse and find happiness with Rahul?
