The first chapter is introductory, gradually from the second chapter the subject is introduced step-by-step. There are lots of examples solved and unsolved. Basic mathematics needed for understanding the subject is also introduced. Due care has been taken sio that students acquire the skill of statistical analysis of data and real life situations in a scientific manner.

Dr M K Bhowal is a faculty member in the Dept. of Statistics, Jorhat and has recieved his Ph.D degree in Statistic from Dibrugarh University. Dr Bhowal has published many articles in Research Journals of National level and presented papers in National and International seminars and conferences. Pronob Barua is a faculty member in the Dept. of Statistics serving as a Lecturer in J.B College, Jorhat. Presently he is doing his research work on Demography. Prof.Barua has published many articles in national & international journals and also presented papers in seminars.
