Stay Hungry Stay Foolish, by Rashmi Bansal, is a collection of 25 inspiring stories of 25 graduates from IIM Ahmedabad, who chose to tread the path of entrepreneurship. Their stories have now become sources of inspiration for all the budding entrepreneurs.
Summary of the Book
Stay Hungry Stay Foolish is widely acknowledged as a genuine source of inspiration for every original thinker with big dreams, who aspires to work on the idea of creating their own business venture. The book has sold more than 400,000 copies and has been translated into several other languages since its publication in 2008. It studies the cases of 25 individuals from diverse backgrounds and presents them to readers. These are the people who started their own businesses at the beginning of their careers, after completing their MBA education. Stories behind popular names such as naukari.com and Subhiksha describe what early dreamers like Sanjeev Bikhchandani and R Subramanian achieved. Motivating cases like Makemytrip.com, Mphasis tell the stories of people with a former taste of corporate life, before they became entrepreneurs. Rashmi meticulously writes about some of the informative stories of social friendly projects taken up by IIM PGP graduates, including GiveIndia by Venkat Krishnan. The title has been taken from one of the famous speeches made by Steve Jobs during his commencement address at the Stanford University.

Inspiring read but only in scope of IIM-ARashmi Banshal, with this book, made an effort to instigate the entrepreneurial drive that had been long concealed under the cobwebs of naive social influences in an individual.

Entreprenuership OrientedThis book is fully oriented to entreprenuership. Its inspirational and motivational. But the portrays the success of only IIM-A Grats. Its like an advertising book of IIM-A although it is not required since IIM-A is most coveted as always. Advisable for entreprenuerial interested ppl not for IIM-A aspiring ppl.

promotional brochure of IIM Athis book is precisely that, selling IIM A, looks more like an advert of the institute. the language and writing style are amateurish and boring. i found it not of much use..there are so many pple who are not IIM A graduates but still have carved a name for themselves

A good read and Must readIts a must book for those who have little entrepreneurial gene or interested in how people have struggled to establish themselves. The book doesn't have a high/low sine curve in terms of excitement. It covered a wide range of business and most of them are well known brands never knew those are IIMA grads creation.
